GOAL OF TREATMENT: To provide a basic facial skin treatment that cleanses pores, exfoliates away dead skin cells, and treats common skin concerns with a custom mask. This multi-step process is meant to rejuvenate and nourish, making the skin appear healthier and younger looking.

BASIC FACIAL TREATMENT PROCEDURE

SANITIZE Sanitize all implements, hands and work area with Tea Tree Prep Lotion.

ANALYZE SKIN Analyze skin for indications and contraindications. Record all findings.

CLEANSE & MASSAGE Cleanse the skin with Herbal Foam Cleanser. Remove eye makeup with Azulene Makeup Remover using damp cotton pads. Allow makeup remover to dissolve residue for 30- 60 seconds. Remove with damp cotton pads or sponges.

FACIAL MASSAGE Perform facial massage with Chamomile Massage Lotion or Hydrophyllic Oil, mixed with a few drops of Aromatic Oil of your choice. Remove residue with a towel pre-soaked in the Aromatic Wellness Soak of your choice.

PEELING TREATMENT Using a dime size amount of Bamboo Cream Peel, perform manual exfoliation for two minutes. (Use a quarter size for entire facial quadrant). Let take effect 7 – 10 minutes (steam optional). Remove with a warm towel soaked in the Aromatic Wellness Soak of your choice.

PREPARE & BALANCE Cover eyes with pads soaked in Soothing Toner Super Sensitive Skin. Prep the skin with Herbal Toner on face, neck and décolleté (facial quadrant). Apply Alphasomes® Serum for the appropriate skin type.

MASK Using a facial brush, apply a generous amount of Ginkgo Mask or Green Tea-Ginseng Mask to facial quadrant.

ARM, HAND, NECK & SHOULDER MASSAGE

Perform neck and shoulder massage with Chamomile Massage Lotion. Remove any excess with a warm towel soaked in the Aromatic Wellness Soak of your choice.

BALANCING & PROTECTING

Begin removal of the mask with room temperature towels soaked in the Aromatic Wellness Soak of your choice. Balance skin pH with Herbal Toner. Apply G.S. Ginkgosome® to the entire facial quadrant, followed by Puff Away® Eye Gel and/or Eye Intensive Moist to the eye area. Apply AM/PM Moisturizer. Protect skin with Umbrella Sunscreen SPF30. Apply Lip Rescue Therapy to lips.

HYDRATING TREATMENT PROCEDURE



CLEANSE

Using One-Step Cleansing Oil (normal to combination skin) or Hydrophilic Massage Oil (for very dry skin) and two drops of Aromatic Oil Anti-aging/Re-Energizing Blend perform first professional cleanse and massage. Emulsify with water and remove with cotton pads or warm towel. For second professional cleanse use 1 tsp. Grapefruit Cleanser on damp face and fingertips. Remove excess eye and lip makeup with Azulene Makeup Remover using a damp cotton pad.

EXFOLIATION Turn on steam. With damp fingertips on a damp face, use 1 – 2 tsp. Doctor D. Schwab Bamboo Cream Peel in circular motions. If needed, dampen fingertips again during manual exfoliation process. Time: 2 minutes of manual exfoliation.

ARM & HAND MASSAGE

Allow client to rest under steam for approximately 5 additional minutes while massaging arms and hands with Ambrosia Aromatherapy Hydrophilic Massage Oil

REMOVAL OF EXFOLIATION

Turn off steam. Remove exfoliation residue with warm towel, pre-soaked in Wellness Soak Geranium and Lavender

EXTRACTIONS Perform extractions as needed using caution for softened, exfoliated skin.

TONE Apply Tea Tree Prep Lotion to facial quadrant.

SECOND EXFOLIATION (Brightening)

Apply Puff Away Eye Gel to eye area. Using a facial brush, apply 1 tbsp. Pumpkin Enzyme Mask for hydrating, brightening, and exfoliation of facial quadrant. Remove after 10 – 15 minutes or as appropriate for your client.

MASK After removal of exfoliation, apply Flawless Brightening Serum followed by Green Tea Ginseng Mask. Mummy if desired and allow client to relax for 10 – 15 minutes. Remove mask with a warm towel soaked in Wellness Soak Ylang-Ylang/Orange.

PROTECTION Spritz face, neck, and décolleté with Herbal Toner. Apply one pump G.S. Ginkgosome® to face, or 2 – 3 pumps for entire facial quadrant. Apply Ginkgo Moist to entire facial quadrant followed by Super Repair Co-Q10 Moist to cheek and neck area (or entire facial quadrant if desired). Apply Umbrella Sunscreen Broad Sp. SPF 30. Optional add on for deluxe facial: Apply Flawless Tinted Moisturizer and Flawless Skin Fluid to facial quadrant. Apply Lip Rescue therapy to lips.

Aloe Vera Peel Treatment


GOAL OF TREATMENT: To provide the skin care professional result-oriented treatment techniques using Aloe Vera Peel to meet aging, sagging and dull skin conditions of the face and body. This treatment protocol walks the professional through the necessary steps to effectively cleanse pores, exfoliate dead skin cells, and correct skin concerns. The Aloe Vera Peel may be used as microdermabrasion or dermaplaning prep while following the same manual exfoliation treatment techniques.

ALOE VERA PEEL TREATMENT PROCEDURE



PRE-CLEANSE Pre-cleanse the skin and remove eye make-up with One-Step Cleansing Oil.

SECOND CLEANSE Cleanse skin with Grapefruit Cleanser or Herbal Oil-free Gel Cleanser. Remove residue with a warm towel soaked in the Aromatic Wellness Soak of your choice.

PREPARE AND BALANCE

Prep the skin with Tea Tree Prep Lotion on face, neck and décolleté (facial quadrant).

EXFOLIATION

Prepare skin for peel using Bamboo Cream Peel as a manual exfoliation. Use of steam is optional. Remove residue with a warm towel soaked in the Aromatic Wellness Soak of your choice.

PEEL • Apply Rescue Cream or Lip Rescue Therapy to the lip area and the creases around the nose.

• Wear vinyl gloves (latex gloves create a chemical reaction that leads to an unpleasant odor)

• Place approximately ½ ounce of Aloe Vera Peel into a small glass, stainless steel, or silicone bowl. Apply the peel with Q-Tips, small brush or a cotton pad cut to 1/2” x 1” size. Apply, using long strokes, both vertically and horizontal. Be careful not to put peel solution on the folds around the mouth or nasolabial area.

• First, apply to the more resilient areas: Sides off the face, Forehead, Cheeks, Nose, Chin, Neck and Décolleté.

• When applying under eyes and around lip line, use a Q-Tip that is moist, but not wet. Work very carefully.

• Leave the peel on the skin for 3 to 5 minutes. The client will experience a tingly or itching sensation.

• To determine if the client is experiencing anything out of the norm ask, “On a scale of 1 to 5, how does the peel feel on your face with (1) being tingly and (5) intensely burning?”

• If the client says (5) intensely burning…IMMEDIATELY REMOVE the peel by patting gently with soft cotton pads that have been moistened in cool water. DO NOT RUB.

• If excessive redness occurs, neutralize with cool water plus Grapefruit Cleanser. Always use soft cotton pads when removing the product and be very careful not to apply too much friction during the removal process.

• If the client is comfortable, leave the peel on for 5 to 10 minutes, and then remove by patting off gently with a soft cotton pad that has been moistened in cool water. Rinse thoroughly with cool water. Neutralize with cleanser. Remove completely.

MASK Apply either the Arnica Mask, Ginkgo Mask or for more resilient skin, consider the Brightening Mask for 10-15 minutes. Resilient skin may benefit from the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask for 15 minutes. Analyze skin thoroughly before applying this enzymatic exfoliating mask, following the Aloe Vera Peel treatment.


Begin removal of the mask with room temperature towels soaked in the Aromatic Wellness Soak of your choice. Balance skin pH with Soothing Toner Super Sensitive Skin. Apply G.S. Ginkgosome® Serum to the entire facial quadrant, followed by Puff Away® Eye Gel and Eye Intensive Moist to the eye area. Hydrate skin with AM/PM Moisturizer or Moisturizing Cream. Protect skin by applying either the Umbrella Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 or the Flawless Skin Fluid® Tinted Moisturizer which can also help reduce any visible redness. Apply Lip Rescue Therapy to lips.

BRIGHTENING TREATMENT PROCEDURE



CLEANSE Using the One-Step Cleansing Oil and two drops of Aromatic Oil Anti-Aging/Re-Energizing Blend, perform a pre-cleanse. Emulsify with water and remove with cotton pads or a warm towel. For the second professional cleanse, use 1 tsp. Grapefruit Cleanser on damp face and fingertips. Remove excess eye and lip makeup with Azulene Makeup Remover using a damp cotton pad.

EXFOLIATION With a damp facial brush or cotton applicator, apply 1-2 tsp. Aloe Vera Peel. Time: 1-3 minutes then neutralize with mild cleanser and remove. Ensure the skin is completely dry with a facial tissue or cotton. Using a diamond-tip or crystal microdermabrasion machine continue the exfoliation and stimulation process for 5-7 minutes using caution around sensitive areas. Change tip size on the diamond-tip system for eye, nose and lip areas. Remember to perform microdermabrasion on neck and chest area. Wipe facial quadrant with damp facial cloth or 4x4 when microdermabrasion process is completed.

TONE Apply Herbal Toner to facial quadrant.

MASK Apply Alphasomes® C-8 Flawless Skin Brightening Serum followed by the Brightening Mask. Then slowly and methodically perform a relaxing arm, hand and neck massage using the Chamomile Massage Lotion. Remove facial mask with a warm towel soaked in the Aromatic Wellness Soak of your choice.

PROTECTION Spritz face, neck, and décolleté with Herbal Toner. Apply one pump G.S Ginkgosome® Serum to face, or 2-3 pumps for entire facial quadrant. Using your ring finger gently apply the Puff Away® Eye Gel. Apply Light Skin™ Renewal Moisturizer to facial quadrant. Apply Flawless Skin Fluid® and/or Flawless Skin Fluid® Tinted Moisturizer. Apply Lip Rescue therapy to lips.

EXFOLIATION FOCUSED FACIAL TREATMENT PROCEDURE

EXFOLIATION & MASK Use of steam is optional. Heat and steam increase peeling activity. Select a peel and mask to customize for client:

• Lax, Dull, Mature Skin: Aloe Vera Peel and Honey-Almond Mask. For Aloe Vera Peel, use appropriate amount for treatment area in a glass cup and two cotton applicators to completely cover facial quadrant, treating neck area last. Avoid eye area and use eye pads soaked in Soothing Toner Super Sensitive Skin and apply Rescue Cream or Lip Rescue Therapy to the lips. Remove the peel after 2-6 minutes. Times vary based on initial analysis. Start with 1-2 minutes and build up to longer durations on skin. Always cleanse off to neutralize! Place Honey–Almond Mask in the towel cabby for 1-2 minutes and apply warm, to skin to harness the best de-stressing benefits. Mummy mask is optional. Leave to take effect for 20 minutes. Remove gently. Option to massage the mask lightly into skin at the end of the masking process and then remove any remaining residue. Can be retailed as a home care sleeping mask.

• Dry, Inflamed, Irritated Skin: First we will address the inflamed irritation. Then we will address the dryness. Use Papaya Enzyme Peeling followed by Pumpkin Enzyme Mask and Arnica Mask. For Papaya Enzyme Peeling, mix peel powder (2 tbsp.) with water (1-2 tbsp). or Papaya Controlling Lotion, add 1 tbsp. water and 1 tbsp. Anti-Ozone Mask if needed. Apply using fingertips or a facial brush and massage for 1-2 minutes until complete coverage is achieved. Cover eyes with eye pads soaked in Soothing Toner for Super Sensitive Skin and apply Rescue Cream or Lip Rescue Therapy to the lips. Mummy mask treated area with damp 4x4 cotton pads or keep moist with Tree Prep Lotion (best if spritzed from a light/mini spray bottle). Remove the peel after 7 minutes methodically with the mummy mask cottons. Allow residue to remain on skin and apply Pumpkin Enzyme Mask to entire affected area. Massage using light movements for entire duration of time on the skin (approximately 5 minutes) and remove with warm damp towel soaked in Wellness Soak.

Apply a generous amount of the Alphasomes® C-8 Sensitive Serum followed by the Arnica Mask. Leave to take effect for 18-20 minutes.

• Blemished, Acne, Pigmented Skin: Start with the Bamboo Cream Peel, Grapefruit Cleanser and Papaya Enzyme Peeling followed by the Rosemary-Camphor Mask. To begin mix in ramekin or other small bowl mix in 1 tsp Bamboo Cream Peel and Grapefruit Cleanser. Apply to damp facial quadrant. Do not massage. Remove after 7 minutes with a warm damp towel soaked in the Aromatic Wellness Soak of your choice. Mix the Papaya Enzyme Peeling powder (2 tbsp.) with the Papaya Controlling Lotion and 1 tbsp. Anti-Ozone Mask. Apply to affected areas (facial quadrant/body etc.) using fingertips or facial brush until complete coverage is achieved. Cover the client’s eyes with eye pads, soaked in Soothing Toner Super Sensitive Skin and apply Rescue Cream or Lip Rescue Therapy to the lips. Mummy mask treated area with damp 4x4 cotton pads or keep moist with Tea Tree Prep Lotion (best if spritzed from a light/mini spray bottle). Remove the peel after 7 minutes methodically with the mummy mask cottons. Option to cleanse residue off. Option: Address pigment and rehydrate skin: Apply 1 tbsp. (light coverage) Pumpkin Enzyme Mask to facial quadrant using a damp facial brush. Apply Rescue Cream or Lip Rescue Therapy for the lips. Remove the peel after 7-10 minutes. Apply Rosemary-Camphor Mask or Ginkgo Mask and always spot treat active blemishes and congested spots with Controlling Mask, allow it to take effect for up to 20 minutes.

ARM, HAND, NECK & SHOULDER MASSAGE

While the client is being exfoliated you can connect with the client by performing arm, hand, neck and shoulder massage with the Chamomile Massage Lotion or Hydrophilic Massage Oil, when possible. Remove any excess with a warm towel soaked in the Aromatic Wellness Soak of your choice.

AROMATHERAPY TREATMENT PROCEDURE



CLEANSE & MASSAGE (With pressure Points)

Using Ambrosia Aromatherapy Hydrophilic Massage Oil or One-Step Cleansing Oil to perform pre-cleanse. Emulsify with warm water on fingertips thoroughly. Remove with warm towels pre-soaked in Wellness Soak of your choice. Gently dry. Following pre-cleanse perform a professional cleanse using Sea Enzyme Facial Cleanser or Grapefruit Cleanser. Option: Remove eye make-up with Azulene Make-up Remover using a damp cotton pad. Remove residue with damp 4 x 4 cotton pads after pre-cleanse and after second cleanse. The same 4x4’s can easily be used effectively with a gentle touch through the entire facial treatment in various ways. Add 3 drops of Aromatic Oil of your choice to Hydrophilic Massage Oil or One-Step Cleansing Oil to perform facial massage. Emulsify with water and remove.

PREPARE AND BALANCE SKIN

Prep the skin with Tea Tree Prep Lotion on face, neck and décolleté (facial quadrant). Or interchange with Sea Enzyme Mega Moisture Mist.

EXFOLIATION Turn on steam. With damp fingertips on a damp face using circular motions exfoliate client’s facial quadrant with Doctor D. Schwab Bamboo Cream Peel. If needed, dampen fingertips again during manual exfoliation process. Time of manual exfoliation: 2-3 minutes.

ARM & HAND MASSAGE

Allow client to rest under steam for 5 additional minutes while massaging arms and hands with Hydrophyllic Massage Oil with an addition of Aromatic Oil of your choice or Chamomile Massage Lotion.

REMOVAL OF EXFOLIATION

Turn off steam. Remove exfoliation residue with warm towel, pre-soaked in Wellness Soak Geranium and Lavender

EXTRACTINS Perform extractions as needed using caution for softened, exfoliated skin. After extraction Apply Tea Tree Prep Lotion to facial quadrant where extractions were performed. Spritz entire facial quadrant with White Tea Toner.

SECOND EXFOLIATION (Brightening)

Apply Pumpkin Enzyme Peeling Mask for additional brightening and exfoliation of the skin. Remove after 7 – 10 minutes.

MASK After removal of exfoliation, apply Honey Almond Mask, Rosemary Camphor Mask, Soy-Apple Mask or Green Tea-Ginseng Mask. Mummy if desired and allow client to relax for 15 minutes.

FOOT TREATMENT Apply Wellness Body Oil to feet, working oil into cuticles and heels.

MASK REMOVAL Remove mask from face with the cotton 4x4 pads, methodically wiping away product beginning at the top of the head and working to the neck. Follow with warm towel soaked in Geranium Lavender Wellness Soak.

PROTECTION Spritz face, neck and décolleté with Ambrosia Aromatherapy White Tea Toner. Apply Ginkgosome Serum to facial quadrant. Apply Rosehip Vitamin Moisturizer followed by Ultra Umbrella SPF 30. SEA ENZYME BODY TREATMENT PROCEDURE


CLEANSE Let your client to take shower if available using Seaweed Citrus Body Wash. If shower is not available, cleanse body back to front. Remove residue with warm towel presoaked in Aromatic Wellness Soak Geranium/Lavender.

EXFOLIATE Exfoliate with Sea Enzyme Glacier Salt (1-2 tbsp). Add equal amount Ambrosia Aromatherapy Hydrophyllic Massage Oil (amount of each will depend on type of back treatment – back facial or full back/body). Mix in clean cup/small bowl. Apply in long smooth glissade massage movements with round brush or hand mitts. Work from lower back to neck and shoulders gently without additional massage movements. Allow to take effect 5-7 minutes. Light steam is optional.

REMOVAL OF EXFOLIANT

For dry room treatment remove salt mixture with a dry towel and follow with warm towel presoaked in Aromatic Wellness Soak Geranium/Lavender. For wet room treatment, have client shower off.

TONE & MASK Spray Mega-Moisture Mist on back if no extractions were performed. Using facial brush, apply a generous amount of Seaweed Gel Mask. Wrap plastic around body. Cover with sheet and blanket. Allow masking to take place for 15-20 minutes. Perform hand massage using Seaweed Citrus Body Lotion.

(Option 1) Instead of Seaweed Gel Mask, apply towels soaked in Algae Spirulina Concentrate Wrap. Wrap client in plastic followed by sheet and blanket.

(Option 2 ) Use thermal or amethyst detoxification blanket during masking/detox phase.

FACIAL MASSAGE While client enjoys body treatment effects, perform relaxing facial massage using Hydrophylic Massage Oil.

BODY TREATMENT PROCEDURE

SANITIZE Sanitize all implements Tea Tree Prep Lotion.

ANALYZE SKIN Comfortably arrange warm bedding under and around client lying face down. Analyze skin for indications and contraindications. Record all findings.

CLEANSE Wash your hands thoroughly with Tea Tree Hand Soap and water, towel dry and apply Invisible Glove Hand Sanitizer for protection. Perform a professional back and neck cleanse using Tea Tree Hand Wash with Spiced Cinnamon. Remove with a warm towel pre-soaked in Sea Enzyme Aromatic Wellness Soak and warm water. Blot skin dry with soft towels.

MASSAGE Begin massage using Tea Tree Massage Oil (with clean and sanitizing properties). Apply liberally to neck, back, arms and legs keeping each area covered between application. If desired, turn client to back for décolleté/lymphatic focused massage with additional Tea Tree Hand Lotion with Spiced Cinnamon Allow oil to remain on the skin. Return client face down. Rinse and dry clinicians’ hands.
