    Cutting and Filling .Cutting in any type of soil , The resulting surface shall be graded and compacted to a minimum of 95% of MDD, and removing all excavated material to an approved area as directed by the site engineer. For embankment locations Supply material and construct embankments using suitable materials in compacted layers (20cm) each layers to 95% of MDD.Sub-base: Suply materials and Construction of 20 cm sub-base course Type -A- (section R 6 of the "Iraqi S.S.for Roads & Bridge ) in compacted layers each layers to be compacted to min.(95%MDD) The crown of the finished surface of the sub-base course and the slope of the finished sub-base layer of the shoulders shall be as shown on the drawings.

    Excavation in all kinds of soil including rock:- This item executed according to the lines, grades & dimensions, for the foundations of abutments, piers and retaining wall, this item including dewatering the trench, grading and well compacting final excavated surface according to instruction of site engineer.     Base Course Construction : Supply crushed limestone or crushed gravel to construct each layer (10 cm thickness after compaction)by Batch plant to the required sizes and grades. It must give a minimum CBR value of 80% , and lay by digital or sensor paver machine with compacting up to 98% MDD. All requirments of this item shall be according to section R7 of (SSRB) and related drawings.
