Maximum TechnologyHub and wheel design are known as two of the key

indicators to wheeling performance. BARITME has announced its

advance design in both which have significant performance

improvement. Thanks to BARTIME maximum technology (listed

below) have been widely applied to our new range of products.

better balance spoke tension between DS and NDS side; and

also more even dish ratio and the longer fatigue life of the rim.

Dish ratio comparison:In the right figure: It shows BARTIME’s dish ratio (D1) is much better than

others’ (D2) due to the oversize DS flange design. The result indicates

BARTIME wheel has more balance spoke tension and more Stiffer wheel

performance.

Power Engagement System: In traditional hub design (either 3 pawls or 6 pawls type), ,

there is always a slice "time delay" occurs in pawls engagement,hence the pawl which engages with ratchet tooth the earliestundergoes most of the driven torque (single contact). It resultspawl broken or crake after a period of time, and then the hubperformance drop down.

BARTIME’s patented “synchronal ring”(*please refer to the red ring in below Fig.)

was designed to guide all the three pawls engaged with the ratchet teeth at the same time, and automatically distributethe torque evenly into each pawl. With “Power engagement system” build in, as a result, BARTIMEhub not only offer better performance, but also makes the pawlsmore durable and the free hub is consequently long lasting.(Patent pending)

Design Concept

Synchronal Ring: The patented mechanical device control the raised angelto each pawl and was designed to guide and forces the three pawls (yellow)engaged with the ratchet teeth simultaneously. This design makes the ridingtorque distribute evenly to each pawl. Greater force longer hub lifetime canbe achieved with “Power engagement system” build in.

Five-Bearing design: The 5-bearing design in rear hub (RS100

and RS200) delivers the most extremely smoother wheeling ever! We add double bearings on NDS which allows to take more side loading for advance rider.

Adjustable 11spd Hub

BARTIME's 11spd hub is a high-end professional "adjustable"

hub. Considering the different road or racing scenarios, rider

could adjust the key dimension of the hub to fit with specific need.

We called this innovative adjustable design the "optimizing

spacer" (*please refer to the red spacer in Fig.) There are two

adjust option in 11spd hub--- to keep the ring or remove it when

assembly. The optimizing spacer can modify the non-driven side

(NDS) center to flange (CTF) distance aim to

adjust the wheel for better performance.Remark: This feature is built in only 11 speed hub.

There are two options to configure

BARTIME 11spd hub:

• Keep the "optimizing spacer" ---- Aim to increase the ELS

(effective lateral stiffness), the bigger NDS CTF, the better lateral

force the wheelset gets. This configuration meets all rider level.

It’s also BARTIME standard 11spd hub spec.

• Remove the "optimizing spacer" ---- Aim to optimize the

tension ratio between two sides (NDS vs DS). In traditional

wheelsets, the Driven-side (DS) spokes tension is always much

higher than Non-driven side (NDS), in other words, the NDS

spokes are relatively weak compare to DS spoke tension. By

removing "optimizing spacer", BARTIME's hub obtains a better

tension ratio. The wheel is less swaying during accelering and

rider could go faster on road. (Patent No. >>)

The stability of front wheel is easily overlooked. As knownwider flange spacing create better lateral stiffness. However,generic front hub flange spacing is merely within 65 ~ 75mm,such narrow flange spacing often results in the turning swaying.BARTIME's super-light road front hub owns the maximum flangespacing design (up to 81mm, please refer to the left side Fig.).Better lateral stiffness of front wheelset, better stability and bestelimination of the swaying while making turns are well achieved.The widest spacing in front hub offers the maximum comfort levelin cycling and especially when make turns in speed.

Maximum Hub Spacing:

Bearing Protection Ring :Bearings that set closed to flange were found loose or

deformed due to long-repeated spokes pulling force (Fig. A).BARTIME add a "Bearing protection ring" (*please refer to theyellow ring in Fig. B) to resolve this problem. The design conceptis to press-fit in the "bearing protection ring", make it tightlyembraces from the outside of hub bearing hole to give extrasupport & hooking constraint to the bearings. BARTIMEsuccessful ly avoids the two bearings from dislocation &misalignment by this innovative technology, it works properlyeven after long time passed. (Patent pending)
