Band: David Robinson, Peter O’Brien, John Fordham SHOW THEME: Christmas DAVID ROBINSON & OUR TOSCI BAND set the mood for the evening with “Santa Clause Is Coming To Town”. DAVID then introduced PRESIDENT DON JONES, who welcomed all attending. Don engaged the audience with some Christmas Riddles for them to respond to, resulting in lots of laughter. When we all settled down, DON then invited PAM FLETCHER to the stage to report on Social Events. Pam told us she has booked the CLOC MUSICAL THEATRE COMPANY PRODUCTION OF MARY POPPIN’S, Opening Night, Friday 15 th May 2015, at The National Theatre, St. Kilda. Complimentary Supper will be provided for all attending. So please see her at interval and have your name added to the list so you don’t miss out. Our Phillip Island Bus Trip Sunday November 30 th , included a trip to the National Vietnam Veterans Museum. Pam suggested we make a donation towards their “Brick in the Wall”. All agreed and Pam collected the donations at interval. (Pam collected $270.00 and TOSCI rounded it up to the $300.00 donation we sent to them. We now have a Plaque and a Brick in their Memorial Wall, inscribed “The Original Showbiz Club”. A big thank you to all who contributed.) Pam then invited our Compere for the Night ALAN STONE to the stage To Open the Show. Act 1: JUNE MELLET: “IF A PICTURE PAINTS A THOUSAND WORDS” and “YOU’RE BREAKING MY HEART”. Act 2: BARRY WILKS: “WHITE CHRISTMAS” and “SILVER BELLS”. Act 3: VAL O’BRIEN: “MERRY CHRISTMAS DARLING” and “I’D LOVE TO GET YOU ON A SLOW BOAT TO CHINA”. Act 4: ALAN STONE ACCOMPANIED BY NORMAN CAMM ON PIANO: “THE VICAR (Ditty)”. Alan then sang “TEA FOR TWO”. Act 5: THE BYGONE BROS: RICHARD LEWIS & ROBERT GREENBERG: “DREAM A LITTLE DREAM OF ME” “WILLIE DIXON SONG - THE SEVENTH SON” “RY COODER SONG - DITTY WAH DITTY”. Compere ALAN STONE then read the January Birthday list while LORRAINE & PAM presented little bottles of Champers to individual members present. Our TOSCI Band played “Happy Birthday” and we all joined in. We then had a short Interval break and catch up, followed with LORRAINE & PAM drawing the raffle. COMPERE ALAN STONE starts second half of show. Act 6: LIL LEWIS, ROBIN GASCOYNE , CAROLYN McINTRYE: “BOOT SCOOTIN” TO “JINGLE BELL ROCK” & “BOOGIE SHOES”. Act 7: JOHN UNITT & GARY HAMMOND (GUEST ARTIST) WITH RAY QUON ON PIANO “GUITAR SURPRISE” “COME BACK AGAIN” “LITTLE SISTER DON'T DO WHAT YOUR BIG SISTER DONE” “THE PROCLAIMERS – I WILL WALK 500 MILES”. Act 8: PAM FLETCHER: “I SAW MOMMY KISSING SANTA CLAUS” “YOU’RE ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS”. Act 9: LAURIE HARNETT: “I BELIEVE”. Act 10: LORRAINE DAVEY: “SANTA BABY” “HAVE YOUSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS”. Don then thanked all the artists, back room boys & girls, Lorraine for organising another great show and everyone for attending. Don then invited all to sing: “WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS” to close the evening. We had a very entertaining evening.
