To create a backyard oasis that addresses all your needs, it

is important to know the climate zone of your area. This

way you will able to make appropriate plant selections for

a lower maintenance and sustainable yard. Research the

hardiness zone for your local region prior to purchasing

your plants and when at the nursery, confirm that the plants

you have chosen are suitable. Helpful staff at garden

centres are always ready to help you and a simple check of

the plant tag is always wise.

Sun/shade and wind conditions create microclimates in

your yard. Before choosing the final location for your patios

and entertainment areas, study how your yard actually

functions. Ask yourself – “Where are the shady spots?

Where are the sunny spots? Where are the windy spots?

Where is the most comfortable location for a patio?” You

can create shady areas with trees and patio accessories. If

constructing a patio in an area that does not already

provide optimal comfort but is ideal because of location

relative to the existing features in your yard, consider what

additions would improve the quality of that location. It is a

good idea to consider the circulation pattern and access to

interior areas, such as your kitchen, when locating your

patios.

spaces is essential to create a place that you will love. Use

lifetime warrantyAll barkman residential products are warranted against manufacturing defects for as long as you own your home. Should your barkman product experience damage due to a manufacturing defect, barkman will gladly replace the damaged product free of charge (proof of purchase is required). Color matching cannot be guaranteed and installation labour is not included. This warranty does not include splitting, chipping, cracking or other damage that may be caused by impact, abrasion, overloading or improper installation.
