I would like to welcome you once again to the Bar S Ranch Pro-duction Sale. After last year’s great event, we are looking for-ward to this year’s exciting sale. One of the fall’s first icy, snowy days caught us by surprise that morning last year, but everyone dug in, and we had a good first experience marketing Charolais females at Bar S. There was something for everyone, with a wide range of prices and smiles for both buyers and seller.The Bar S Ranch Angus genetics have long been noted as a source of fault free, sound, functional cattle, and the Charolais portion of this operation is quickly becoming know for the same kind of cattle. Come and check out these fall-calving cows; there are some outstanding brood cows in this offering. You will find heavy-milking, broody, ranch cows that know how to make a liv-ing on the range, both white and black.

The bred heifer group is the entire spring-calving Charolais bred heifers. We will bring them into the ring in pairs, and David has matched them up, “if I lose her, I’ve got to keep this one.” You pick the one you want, and the other one goes back into the herd. They are all bred to calve effortlessly.

Another group that is offered in its entirety is the Cannon Farms spring 2010 heifer calves. This is all of Tom and Jen’s heifer calves; many of these came from the small, yet elite Rowan Ranch herd that Tom leased while Kurt Rowan underwent hip replace-ment this past summer.
