BANGERTER HIGHWAYINTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT OVERVIEWUDOT is improving intersections along Bangerter
Highway to accommodate population growth on Salt
Lake Countys west side.
Construction of a new freeway-style interchange
on Bangerter Highway and 600 West in Draper is
scheduled to begin in Spring 2016. This will be the
third interchange of its kind built on the corridor.
Environmental studies are also underway on four
intersections at 5400 South, 7000 South, 9000
South, and 11400 South to evaluate construction of
freeway-style interchanges. Pending the outcome
of the studies and the availability of funding,
construction of these four interchanges is scheduled
to begin as early as 2017. UDOT plans to convert
the intersections on the entire corridor into freeway-
style interchanges as funding allows.
