Status of DJRA4.1

• Requirements based upon SA2 working document

• Clear demarcation between EGEE and GN2 projects

• Focus on interface specification First iteration Requires further refinement

• Initial architecture discussions with JRA1 were held

• Comprehensive software survey presented as an addendum

• Submitted for review on time – 30th Sept. 2004

• No review comments on deliverable received yet

Future steps

• Finalise architecture and interfaces• Extract reusable components from surveyed software• Collaborate with other activities• SA2

monitor the requirements working document

• JRA1 more later

• JRA3 security issues

• GN2 –SA3 continue discussions on interface between EGEE and GN2

• Start developing prototype

Collaboration with JRA1

• Understand Web Services Agreement (WS-A) framework

• Monitor JRA1’s WS-A architecture working document

• Achieve a common and realistic understanding of network element (NE) functionality

• Can NE be seen as another element such as the storage element or computing element?

• Organise meetings/conference calls for detailed discussions with JRA1

Interface discussion

• Interface between higher layer middleware and network element

• Interface between network element and network service access point

• Deliverable contains first iteration of interface specification Interfaces will be refined during prototyping

• A field by field discussion is required!
