These three dances are some of the most memorable from Terpsichore, a collection of Renaissance dances compiled by the German composer Michael Praetorius (1571–1621). Each section of the band gets a chance to shine. The brass and the woodwind sections are each featured alone, and the second dance has an opportunity for optional solo woodwinds. The percussion section is featured throughout with interesting parts that add a great rhythmic drive to these wonderful dances. This selection is perfect for competitions, festivals or a fun way to liven up any concert.
