MUSIC TUITION 2019
Music tuition is encouraged for all band and ensemble members plus elective music students. Students who have private lessons typically improve at a greater pace and develop confidence with individualised instruction.
St Patrick’s College is privileged to have a dedicated team of qualified and experienced music tutors offering high-quality music tuition on most instruments.
Individual lessons are best, but shared lessons may be possible if you have a friend learning the same instrument and you are approximately the same standard. Weekly 30 minute lessons are recommended but more or less can be negotiated directly with your tutor. Before-school, after-school or lunchtimes may be available, if preferred. Many of our tutors work at other music studios during after-school hours, so don’t hesitate to check all available times and venues with them. Tuition arrangement, timetabling and payment should be organised directly with the music tutor. Below are the contact details for our recommended tutors.

BAND CAMP For Training Band, Intermediate Band and Senior Band.
Band Camp, in Term 2, is an annual highlight for many band members. With focussed time on our music including specialised music tuition,
we always achieve so much in 2 days and 2 nights! This annual camp optimises our preparation for local and state band competitions.
Our camp is conveniently located in the Royal National Park - a beautiful venue with plenty of indoor and outdoor areas to enjoy. We introduce new camp activities each year plus we look forward to annual favourites such as the giant waterslide, the campfire and
our fancy-dress Pyjama Party Movie Night. Senior band members are in charge of Evening Recreation and always do a fantastic job leading camp-style games like,
"Trivia", "Musical Chairs" and "Celebrity Head”.
Band Camp is a productive and fun residential camp fostering group cohesion and friendships across different year groups.
