Madan Mohan Malviya ji in 1916, is one of the most prestigious Central University in the country. It is the largest residential University in Asia. A living embodiment of Malviya ji. Dr. Annie Besant and Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, this seat of learning epitomizes synthesis of ancient wisdom & Morden scientific temper. Banaras Hindu Ranks among the first few in the country in the field of academic and research out put. this university has two campus(Main campus at Banaras and another Rajiv Gandhi South Campus at Barkhacha, Mirzapur) 140 departments, 4 advanced centers and 4 interdisciplinary schools. The University is making its mark at the national and International levels in a no. of frontier areas of Science, Social science , Technology, Medicine and agriculture etc CENTRE OF FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Centre University has come up in recent Past to achieve academic excellence, creates valuable human resource and to undertake R & D for Driving economic growth of the country through Food Processing. Government of Indiahas already a knowledge the importance of the Centre by funding its activities by through Department of Biotechnology of Food Science and (CFST) at Bananras Hindu In case of Trainees from other organizations viz. ICAR ,SAUs ,KVKs etc. are desired to participate in MTC(s),Their TA/DA may be borne by their respective organization /Institute However ,all the Trainees may avail the lodging /boarding and other facilities in the host training institutions.
