Problem It is very dangerous when we collect

our clothes hung on the external laundry poles.

We have to bend our bodies over the window frame and go against the weight of our clothing and the bamboo pole.

Inspiration

Example 1 This was an incident reported on stomp. It was very fortunate that the bamboo landed on

a tree instead of someone.

Example 2 This website quoted a Sunday Times article. A maid fell out of a 9th floor window. She was found at the foot of the building. There were bamboo poles and a pile of clothes

beside her. The newspaper said she probably fell while trying to

collect laundry.

window. She died about an hour later in hospital. The police found a pail of wet clothes beside the

washing machine in the kitchen with its windows open. Some pieces of clothing and bamboo poles were lying

Description

Improvements from convention The ability to change the angles

decreases the distance between the fulcrum and the load, and causes the end of the pole to be nearer. Thus, less force is used.

Holes to be drilled to drain water collected in the housing. This helps to remove stagnant water.
