Continued Progress Toward Goals

• Data Assessment (Can mandated monitoring be optimized and/or improved to better understand progress toward restoration?)– Drafted a proposal for a retrospective trends

analysis of constituents in Gwynns Falls and Middle Branch (receiving waters) and elucidation of explanatory factors of trends. Collaborative project between Cary Institute (BES), USGS, and BWB

– Abell Foundation seed funds, need additional funding source for remainder.

Continued Progress Toward Goals

• Maintain/continue communication (vision that committee serves as venue for technical feedback and exchange)– Planning a workshop for mid-January 2016, place TBD– Main focus will be information exchange between

researchers and broader monitoring community (jurisdictions, practitioners, non-profits)• Morning: updates from research community to broader

community• Afternoon: feedback loop from broader community to

researchers to generate next set of questions/areas of focus• Will include a round-robin opportunity for researchers to meet

with organizations with a particular existing need
