Balancing machine for one-piece

and multi-piece automotive propel-

ler shafts for use in large-volume

production.

Highly automated, patented unba-

lance correction procedure ensures

minimum cycle times and resetting

times

Isotropic bearing pedestals simulate

actual conditions of operation

Balancing machine for propeller shafts with fullyautomatic unbalance correction by welding

Type RBRQ

RF 2426-1 e

Modular machine structure withservo motor on the machine base.Easy and accurate positioning ofmeasuring pedestal through axiallinear guide bearings. All bearingpedestals equipped with positiondetection to check correct setting.Safety brackets with prism-shapedpart rest fixture. Gantry-mountedwelding gun with multiple electro-des for max. 4 correction planesand 2 correction steps in eachplane. Servo motors for preciseaxial and radial positioning.

Special features

Structure

Bearing pedestal with isotropicspring system and high-accuracybalancing spindle. Asymmetricallyarranged spindle axis for easier loa-ding and unloading of the propellershafts.

Self-locking, pneumatically actuatedsafety brackets.

Field of application

Measurement and correction of theunbalance of single- or multi-piecepropeller shafts of passenger cars, light and heavy commercial

vehicles and other universal jointshafts. Unbalance correction by wel-ding of preformed metal strips usingmid-frequency technology.

Unbalance correction by drilling isavailable as an option.

Automatic modular safety enclosu-re for burst and noise protection, with panelling of high-strength,sound-absorbing sandwich con-

struction. Telescopic sliding doorswith electro-mechanical safetymechanism.

PC-based unbalance measuringunit with extensive operatorprompting, status output, fault dia-gnosis etc. Remote diagnostics ispossible. Simple operation with sel-ection of functions on a touch scre-en. As part of the standard outfit, measuring instrumentation andcontrol system are set up for fourcorrection planes.

Patented single-station welding gunwith quadruple electrode in mid-frequency technology. Unbalancecorrection in four correction planesis provided as a standard feature.
