As the Director of Clinical Islet Cell Laboratory, I isolate islet cells following FDA regulatory guidelines from chronic pancreatitis pancreas in a clean room GMP facility. We test the quality of islets and sterility of the product and infuse the islets to patients. We performed 9 clinical islet cell auto transplantations during the year 2015. As of September 2016, 13 clinical transplantations have been performed.
