necessary sections: hull-outfitting, mechanical, piping, accommodation, electrical, naval archi-tecture—design.

All our engineers are graduates of top-ranked universities in Azerbaijan, France, Singapore and most of them have gained a great working prac-tice in Singapore.

BSY engineers have experience both at ship-building and ship repair. By integrating the latest software and technologies, such as AutoCAD, SACS, ANSYS, Rhinoceros, SM3D, and many others, our talented engineers with a wide range of experience construct from basic design to G-code making and craft a premium-quality end product that will always exceed your highest expectations.

Using these various computational tools, Engineering Team is able to provide the following engineering services:

• Hydrodynamic & CFD analysis • Structural Analysis• Lifting Plan • Motion and Stability Analysis • Longitudinal strength • Floodable length• Damage Analysis• Propulsion Design • Powering Calculations • Production Engineering • Vessel Interior Design • Exterior design and 3D Modelling • Electrical Design and Engineering • Mechanical Engineering and Modeling TTS - Ship Transfer System

The Ship Transfer System is designed to transfer load onto floating dock and unload from the floating dock. While at shore, the transfer system can move the ship longitudinally/transversely into specific working position/dry berths.

TTS is transferring vessels on fluid bed mode (zone mode). TTS fluid bed – a condition equal to the ships buoyance condition. A vessel is designed to be

Piping system on SM3D software supported by the water, a total compliant medium which allows the vessel to receive support where applied by displacement on the hull of the vessel, thus providing the pressure necessary to support the distributed weight of the vessel. The compliancy provided by the buoyancy forces does not impose point loads on the vessel’s hull.TTS is capable to determined very accurate weight and COG (LCG, TCG) of any vessel, pontoon, barge etc. It gives a big specter of possibility, for example calculation of exact quantity of ballast which should be add before launching vessel. Block assembly mode of transferring system allows the shipyard to build mega blocks without being limited by crane. By using trolleys lifting system, motor and manipulators the system can accurately position a block for assembly. This operation can be done without using crane.

Socar-1 designed and built as steel hull, twin screw tug boat equipped with two diesel propul-sion engines totally 400 PS and two 360 degree steerable propellers with nozzles and engaged in berthing and unbrething for a ship in the harbor and towage in coastal waters. Now the vessel is under balance of “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping” JSV and makes towing works for big vessels, barg-es in Caspian Sea. Vessel capable of performing towage, assistance, berthing of large container-ships, bulk carriers, VLCC’s in the ports with capability for fire-fighting and oil pollution con-trol. The new tug is expected to be used to support Baku’s new port and its operations.

Khankendi is a state-of-the-art Subsea Construction Vessel (SCV) which is being built for stage two of the development the largest natural gas field in Azerbaijan. The Khankendi vessel is planned to perform subsea construction activities on the Shah Deniz field between 2017 and 2027. The $378 million facility is a unique vessel built under DNV (Det Norske Veritas) GL's classification supervision. SCV Khankendi is jointly constructed at both Keppel Singmarine’s shipyard and Baku Shipyard. Two hull strips of the vessel have been constructed in Singapore and have been shipped via the Suez to the Black Sea and then through the Russian rivers Volga and Don to the newly established Baku Shipyard for the final joining with the bow block and hook-up with the accommodation block.

Two hull strips, Bow block and LQ blocks have been integrated on shore with the help of Trolley Transfer System and Gantry crane. Innovative method of inte-gration has been developed for this operation which allows to minimize any possible gap and misalignment between Mega Blocks.

The Vessel has been equipped by different systems that were installed and calibrated in Baku Shipyard:-DP3 system (it is a computer-controlled system to au-tomatically maintain a vessel’s position and heading by using its propellers and thrusters)- Diving system with 7 chambers, two dedicated moon-pools for diving bell and two HLB- 900T SWL main offshore crane mounted on Port side and one 50T SWL deck crane mounted on STBD side on main deck- ROV (a remotely operated underwater vehicle) with dual ROV hangar and Overhead Lars system.

SHIPBUILDING

On the 16th of September 2013, Caspian Ship-yard Company (CSC) signed contract with Baku Shipyard for undertaking fabrication of the pon-toons and upper blocks for the construction of a semisubmersible drilling rig.

The $800 million semi-submersible drilling rig was awarded by Caspian Drilling Company (CDC) to two subsidiaries of Keppel Offshore & Marine Company with Caspian Rigbuilders and Caspian Shipyard Company (CSC).

The DSS 38M rig is a Keppel design for a drilling depth of up to 40,000 ft (12,192 m) and operations in 1,000 m (3,280 ft) water depth. To withstand high winds speeds in the Caspian Sea. An 800 m (2,625 ft) self-contained eight-point mooring system will be installed. Delivery is scheduled for late 2016.

3 crew boats are capable to transport personnel (up to 80 people) and various types of cargo to mobile offshore drilling units (MODU) and other offshore oil and gas exploration and extraction facilities. According to their specifications, they can operate at up to 100 miles from the coast. The vessels are designed to have good seakeeping characteristics and a bow thruster was installed for maneuverability. The hull is of mild steel and the superstructure is of aluminum alloy.

aku Shipyard has annual capacity to accept 100 different types of vessels for ship repair activities. Floating dock, TTS ship transfer system, repair slab for more than 10 vessels, etc. are tools to realize any kind of ship repair job.

Israfil Huseynov, one of the largest barges on the Caspian Sea, has docking displacement equal to 14.000 tons. Due to not evenly distributed load, bending moment of floating dock could be reached to the edge limit. But after successful calculations and proper support devices distribution, the barge was carefully docked and stayed for a month period of repair.

Scope of work:• Removal the safety net from the helicopter platform with the dock crane• Cleaning and painting• Total HP pressure water, Disposal of marine, blasting and painting• Piping (repair and replacing, dismounting and cleaning)• Mechanical (repair and replacing)• Hull (repair and replacing)• Electrical (Carry out check, repair and tighten up terminal connection Test the function of local / remote start / stop and auto system)

Tofiq Ismayilov, Diving Support Vessel is more than 25 years old and it has been fully upgraded in our shipyard for the full use of its capabilities. Tofiq Ismayilov was docked on hydraulic trestles and transferred to the shore for six month repairing and upgrading job. New hydraulic trestles have capability to create fluid bed system and thereby provide very accurate results and avoid any bending which can be critical for Diving Support Vessel.

Scope of work:• Helideck Re-Activation• HVAC Maintenance and Upgrade• Asbestos Removal and Encapsulation Planning• Control room and switch board maintenance• Navigation Equipment• Control System (IACDS) and DP• Effer Crane Maintenance• Diving System maintenance and Diving Bell overhaul• Accommodation Repair and Maintenance • Safety System overhaul• AMOS upgrade• 50t Crane removal and replacement• Lightweight Survey etc.

Derrick barge Azerbaijan (DBA) is a heavier vessel of the Caspian Sea. Load distribution under crane reach 270 t/m. Docking weight of barge equal 18.000 t. Due to big trim of the vessel docking condi-tion imply presence of enormous quantity of water bal-last. Maximum breath with equipment was approximate 38.8 m which leaving only 60 cm gap from both side till Floating Dock. New technologies and high competence of Docking depart realized this job without any issues.
