Bacon, Lettuce, LtTomato Sandwich a classic portableServes 2:8 slices baconA few leaves romaine
lettuce (or other crisplettuce)
2 ripe tomatoes4 slices sandwich bread2 tbs mayonnaiseSalt l pepper to taste
Prep time: 20 minutesPer portion: 400 calories13 g protein / 25 g fat / 29 gcarbohydrates
1 Place the bacon in anonstick skillet and fryover medium heat untilcrisp and brown. Drainthe bacon on papertowels.
2 Wash the lettuce andpat it dry. Wash thetomatoes, remove thestems, and cut thetomatoes into thin slices.
3 Toast the bread andspread 1 side of eachslice of bread generouslywith the mayonnaise.
4 Layer the lettuce andtomato on 2 of the breadslices, season with saltand pepper, then topwith the bacon. Coverwith the remaining breadslices.
5 Cut the sandwiches inhalf diagonally, andserve.
