The SBC of Rochester is excited to kick-off our third annual SBC Cares Backpack Give Back program! We have had tremendous response from the community in the last two years and are now looking to exceed our previous goals! With an overwhelming 52% of children in Rochester area living in poverty, the purchase of school supplies will be a burden. The goal of the SBC Cares Backpack Give Back program will be to provide 1,500 students with backpacks filled with school supplies for the upcoming year. With your help this program will ensure they have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom this fall. On August 2, 2018 volunteers from the SBC will deliver the Backpacks to children in need. Below are some organizations we have been able to help in previous years, thanks to the communities overwhelming response. – Rochester Habitat for Humanity – Salvation Army – Mission Share - Bivona Child Advocacy Center – Baden Street Settlement – Volunteers of America (Camp Heroes Program) – Cameron Community (Ministries) – Boys & Girls Club – Catholic Family Center Help Us Now Visit rochestersbc.com/backpack to make your commitment online For more information contact Jayni Woods, Director of Programs, Events and Marketing 585.256.4619 | [email protected] BACKPACK GIVE BACK Here’s How You Can Help 1.
