Artemis Art is located within Publika at Solaris Dutamas, a niche shopping mall that has become an important hub for art and culture in Kuala Lumpur. We are one of the seven active commercial galleries that operate at Publika, which also houses several artist run pop-up galleries and is the home to mapKL (comprising the White Box and Black Box spaces). Among them are the following: • Promote and support young and emerging Malaysian artists o Provide career development guidance for young artists o Promoting these artists to both local and international markets • Expanding the art market to non-traditional collectors and to the mass public o Making arts accessible to all and not just for the privileged o Ultimately, our aim is to create a higher level of art appreciation among Malaysians • Continuous efforts in supporting outsider arts especially for children and adults with different forms of Learning Difficulties, e.g. autism. o Through the continuous efforts in supporting children and adults with learning difficulties, it’s creating awareness of art as a form of therapy for these children and adults. 1. Group and Solo Exhibitions Since Artemis Art began operations in November 2011, we have organized and executed over 30 group and solo exhibitions. These have been staged primarily in our gallery space, as well as other areas within Publika, and in collaboration with other galleries and organizations in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
