• Spring & Summer Facility Projects – New carpet tiles & paint in the elementary– Resurfaced gym floor & painted walls– Energy efficient fluorescent bulbs – Replaced middle school cooling system

• Phone System– 35 speakers inside & outside– Installation finished within 2 – 3 weeks

• Pledge of Allegiance starts immediately after the 8:00 bell• Parents should be out of classrooms before pledge

End of School Day• School Hours: 8:00 – 3:05• Pick Up

– 3:06 – pick up starts– 3:25 – pick up ends– Middle school - flag pole area– Elementary students - by grade level on south sidewalk– Parents remain in the lobby until 3:05 – Picking up students behind the gym is not acceptable

• Bikers, Boarders & Walkers – Release Forms & Helmets required – Students will be released at 3:20– Must leave campus by 3:25

Late Student Pick Up

• 3:25 – all students must be picked up• Phone a friend

• All students who are not picked up by 3:25 will be walked to Wildcat Care so they can be supervised (cost as follows)

• First 15 minutes: $ 5.00• Beyond 15 minutes: $10.00

Dress Code• Girl’s toughest areas:

– Tank Tops less than 3 finger widths and/or undergarments showing

– Tops with low neck lines – Mid-drift or backs showing (while standing or sitting)– Length of shorts or skirts not past finger tips

• Boy’s toughest areas:– Baggy pants and/or undergarments showing– Ripped clothing – WWA is a Duct Tape Free Zone– Hair that disrupts



Student Life

• After school….– Students need to be in an after school activity

– Student cell phones• May be used outside the building after 3:05pm• May be used inside the building after 3:30pm• Only Exception – Indoor pickup while in the classroom only

– Hall doors close at 3:25

– Voicemail, email or scheduled meetings– Teachers are teaching during the day– Expect responses before 7:45am or after 3:25pm

• August 27, 6:30pm• Reverse Order

– Visit with classroom teachers first– General session is last – you may leave– More middle school specific information presented

• Who should attend– Parents of middle school students

• 6th grades & new students expected• Returning families are welcome

– No activities or supervision for students
