has successfully completed 7.5 ECTS in the Nordic-Baltic Perspectives on Marketing program in Universityof Aarhus - Institute of Business and Technology, Denmark during the autumn semester with an intensiveweek in Herning, Denmark in the period 8.11 - 15.11.2008.

The course was a NordPlus cooperative project between the following universities:- Norway: Telemark University College- Sweden: Miilardalen University- Iceland: Reykjavik University- Finland: Lahti University of Applied Sciences- Estonia: Tallinn University of Technology- Denmark: University of Aarhus - Institute of Business and Technology

This course was based on Nordic perspectives on marketing and also dealt with cultural and industrialdifferences between these countries, with main focus on the Textile Industry.

languages and communication, management and engineering at the same institution. AU-IBT is a centre at the Faculty of Social Sciences at University of Aarhus.

All programmes include periods of practicaltraining and require the submission of a final project paper'

Bachelor degrees in archilecture, design, music and fine andpertorming artsThe bachelo/s degree is awarded after 3 to 4 years of study (18G240 ECTS credits). Most programmes are research-based and/orbased on artistic professionalism and provide students withknowledge of theory, application of theory and professionalpractice.The programmes qualify students for occupational functions in thearts and for postgraduate studies e.g. for the candldafus degree.

Acad emy P rof ession d eg reeThe Academy Profession degree (AP degree) is normally awardedafter 2 years of study (120 ECTS credits). Admission is possibleon the basis of either general upper secondary education orrelevant vocational education and training supplemented byadequate general upper secondary courses (e.9. maths, physics,English). The programmes qualify students to perform practical,vocational tasks on an analytical basis. Apart from theoreticalsubjects, the programmes involve a final project. The Danish titleincludes the suffix AK.

Postgraduate qualif ications

Candidatus(a) degree (second cycle degree)The candidatus(a) degree is normally awarded after 2 years ofstudy (120 ECTS credits) following a BAlBSc degree. Theprogramme is research-based and provides the student withtheoretical knowledge, analytical and scientific (and/or artistic)skills combined with the ability of practical application. Theprogramme requires the preparation of a thesis (30-60 ECTScredits), or - in certain fields - an artistic project. lt qualifiesstudents for a professionalcareer and scientific work. The Danishtitle is usually abbreviated to Cand. + subject field. Doctorate (third cycle degree)The PhD (ph.d.)degree is normally awarded after 3 years ofhigher education and research (180 ECTS credits) following acandidatus degree. The PhD programme includes the preparationand public defence of a thesis,Music Academies offer a specialist degree of 2 to 4 yearsfollowing the candrdatus degree.

Adult and continuing educationAdult education qualiftcations are available at levels conespondingto those of the ordinary higher education system.

. The WU degree (videregdende voksenuddannelse) isawarded after studies at Academy Profession level and givesaccess to diploma Programmes;

. The diploma degree (diplomuddannelse) is awarded afterstudies at first cycle level and gives access to maste/sprogrammes;

r The master's degree (masferuddannelse) is awarded afterstudies at second cycle level.

Examinations and diplomasAll examinations at Danish higher education institutions are administered not only by the teacher, but also by an examiner whooften is external. The examiners are responsible for assuring the same standard for all examinations and thus their quality.After completion of a full programme, the student is awarded a diploma and a transcript.

The 7-point grading scaleThe grading system used in all state-regulated education as from AugusUSeptember 2007 is the 7-point grading scale. The grading scale iscompatible with the ECTS grading scale.
