alsoneeded.SoaGOTS-certified“organicmattress”isactuallymadefromcertifiedorganiccottonfibersplusothermaterials(called“GOTSaccessories”)thatareapprovedpertheGOTSstandard.AllNaturepedicmattressesarecertifiedorganicperGOTS.

AllcribmattressesarerequiredtomeetFederalandStateflammabilityrequirements.Byusinglow-flammablematerialstobeginwith,Naturepedichaseliminatedtheneedforchemicalflamebarriersorotherflameretardantchemicalsintheirproducts,whilestillmeetingallFederalandStateflammabilitystandards.AllNaturepedicmattressesaremadeintheUSAusingdomesticandimportedfabricsandcomponents.All Naturepedic mattresses are protected from exposure to toxic chemicals during shipping by food-grade polyethylene bags. Ipersonallyhavevisitedtheirmanufacturingfacility.Therearenoassemblylines.Ateamofrealpeopleworkcooperativelytogethertocut,sew,construct,inspectandpackeachmattress,usinglow-techmachinesaswellasvarioushandtools.Theenvironmentiscleanandfragrance-free.Notoxiccleaners,pesticides,orothertoxicchemicalsareusedinthebuilding.“Toxicchemicalsorotherunacceptablematerialsarenotpermittedinourfacility,period.”
