Baby Bottle Campaigns are fun for everyone!

This following information in this packet is for churches to use when hosting a Baby Bottle Campaign. It can also be modified if you are part of a school, office or organization that would like to implement a Campaign!

We also have information for hosting a Baby Bottle Campaign for younger children in a school or Vacation Bible School (VBS). There are lots of fun ideas to get kids involved in filling their bottles–like saving change from their piggy banks or allowance, hunting for loose change around the house, having lemonade stands to raise funds, or doing special chores for mom and dad.

Care Net Peninsula provides valuable resources to those most in need in our community, so we are thrilled to have your church and community support in the form of this fun and easy Campaign!

LIFE Trivia:The human heart begins beating just 21 days after conception.

Baby Bottles are distributed to your church congregation to be taken home and filled over the course of a few weeks. The bottles are then brought back and dropped off at Care Net Peninsula. All of the funds benefit young moms, dads, and their babies in difficult pregnancy situations.

The Baby Bottle Campaign is a fun, engaging service project for the whole family! And because we ask for pocket change to fill our bottles, our Campaign won’t divert funds from the important work your church is doing.

We provide you with the baby bottles, plus access to bulletin inserts, announcements, posters, PowerPoint Slides, and our video. We can even provide a speaker for your Campaign Kick-Off and/or Collection Sunday! Contact us today to start your campaign!

Will you help us save lives?

How it works:

CAMPAIGN KICK-OFF (Week 2) Publish Weekly Announcement in your bulletin, e-newsletter, social media and other outlets. Make a presentation about the campaign in the church service (this could include our video, a representative from your church or someone from our center.) Distribute the baby bottles.

BOTTLES BACK (Week 6) Publish Weekly Announcement. Make an announcement in the church service that you’re collecting bottles today and how you’re doing it. This Sunday is another great time for a speaker from the Center to come talk about the impact of The Baby Bottle Campaign and to thank the church for their involvement.

Store the bottles in a secure location until you deliver them to the Center.

CAMPAIGN WRAP-UP (Weeks 7–8) Publish Weekly Announcement. If many bottles are still missing, remind people to please return their bottles (empty or full) as soon as possible. We understand that not all of the bottles will be returned no matter what!

As the remaining bottles come in, store them in a secure location until they can be delivered to the Center. That’s it! You’re done! Thank you for all of your efforts to make this campaign a success!

BOTTLES OUT (Weeks 3–5) Publish Weekly Announcements (one per week) in your bulletin, e-newsletter, social media and other outlets. Keep your congregation thinking about the Campaign! Continue to display the posters, PowerPoint slide, and/or video when appropriate.

GET READY (Week 1) Receive your bottles and other promotional materials from Care Net Peninsula. (Visit www.carenetpeninsula.org to download the materials.)

Decide how your church will distribute the baby bottles and how many volunteers you may need. Consider giving out bottles as people exit, or setting up a table in a convenient location. You can even make bottles available in a bassinet or stroller! Don’t forget to put up posters and create a buzz about the Campaign at your church!
