Joint White Paper

• Business Analysis (BA) and Business Information

Management (BIM) are two highly-interconnected fields

that contribute to the realization of organizations’ goals

• BA and BIM have to collaborate closely in order to address

increasingly challenging business conditions

• This paper describes the relationship between BA and

BIM, comparing two best practice frameworks, BABOK®v2

and BiSL®, and proposing how to improve the realization

of business needs by combining these best practices

Scope

5

• Business analysis is a discipline with a wide variety of

methods and techniques used to act as a liaison among

stakeholders

• It aims to understand the structure, policies and

operations of an organization and to recommend solutions

that enable the organization to achieve its goals

• Business analysis defines and validates solutions that meet

business objectives

Agenda

41
