    Baba Ramdev was born as Ram Krishn to Gulab Devi and Ram Nivas Yadav in thevillage Saiyad AliPur of Mahendragarh district in Haryana

    His childhood inspiration had been the freedom fighters Ram Prasad Bismil andSubhas Chandra Bose. Baba Ramdev has said that on reading a biography of RamPrasad Bismil, his mind was totally cleansed

    Baba Ramdev completed his eighth grade from Shahbajpar, Haryana and joinedAarsh (Arya) Gurukul, Khanpur. It was here that Ramdev was first exposed toSanskrit and Yoga

    He spent several years at Haridwar studying ancient Indian scriptures at GurukulKangri Vishwavidyalaya

    Baba Ramdev shot into prominence when he started the Divya Yog Mandir Trustwith Acharya Bal Krishna

    In 2003, Aastha TV, a popular spirituality channel began featuring him in itsmorning yoga slot

    Today, the flagship project of Baba Ramdev is Patanjali Yog Peeth (a registeredTrust inaugurated on August 6, 2006 by Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Vice Presidentof India).

    educator. His followers believed him to be the reincarnation of Sai Baba of Shirdi, a spiritual saint and miracleworker who died in 1918 and whose teachings were an eclectic blend of Hindu and Muslim beliefs.The
