Entry RequirementsIVE / SBI Higher Diploma graduates in Transport & Logistics Studies, Transport Studies, Business Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Supply, Customer Services for Aviation and Passenger Transport, Enterprise Management, Business Administration, International Business, or equivalent qualifications.

English Proficiency RequirementAn overall band score of 6.0 in IELTS or equivalent.(IVE / SBI Higher Diploma graduates are exempted from the requirement.)

Programme OverviewTheprogrammebuildsonstudents’existingknowledgeandskills in business but has a clear emphasis on the area of supply chain management and logistics. It develops appropriate skills related to elements of the supply chain in order to enable students to consider and evaluate a range of business and strategic issues from a supply chain and logistics perspective. Theprogrammewilldevelopbusiness-relatedcurrenttheoreticalconcepts and has an international flavour. It is accredited by theCharteredInstituteofLogisticsandTransportintheUK.

The programme seeks to build competencies in managing thesupplychainwithinmodernbusinessorganisations. Itencourages students to develop appropriate logistics skills for analysis, critical evaluation and research of technical issues pertaining to the changing dynamics of modern organisations and their environments.

Theprogrammeallowsstudents togainexposure tosomeinternational perspectives in relation to the subject areas being studied, an important feature given the international context ofHongKong.Thisinternationalperspectiveisaidedbythefact that50%of teachingonallmodules iscarriedoutbylecturerswhoteachthemodulesatLeedsMet inLeedsandwhobringwiththemtheexperienceofteachinginastudent-centredandinternationallyfocusedUniversity.
