Credit Requirements for graduation:
123 credits, including 30 GUR and
93 DSR. Students are allowed to
take more elective subjects upto 150
credits, or minor study (18 credits).
Study Pattern & Credit Transfer
Students would be considered for credit transfer based on their
previous studies in AD/HD programmes and their academic
performance.
Currently, there are 18 study patterns for senior year admitted
students.

Progression Requirements
GPA >2.0 (Grade C in average);
A+ = 4.5; A =4; … D+ =1.5; D = 1.0; F = 0
Student’s GPA <2.0 for 2 consecutive semesters may be de-registered
from the programme enrolled.
Students must passed in both continuous assessment AND
examination, if both are used in the subject.
Students must retake a compulsory subject which they have failed.
Maximum study load is 21 credits per semester

Subject add/drop & Withdrawal
Students are free to add/drop any subject(s) during the
subject add/drop period (at the beginning of each semester,
around 2 weeks).
DO NOT drop core subjects (pre-assigned subjects)
After add/drop period, subject withdrawal application and
add/drop fee are needed. Exceptional approval will only be
granted with strong justifications, by subject lecturer(s) and
programme leader.
Remarks: DO NOT withdraw subject until the end of semester.
GO normally takes 2 weeks to proceed an application.

Service learning subject - ITC2S01“Engaging fashion as a communication media for the needy”
“Semester 1 registration”: Students are required to work as a team, design and develop a
garment for people who have special needs.
The subject may last from mid of Semester 1 to mid of Semester 2.

Service learning subject - ITC2S02“Community engagement through expressive textile arts and fashion”
“Semester 2 registration”: Students will engage with expressive textile arts
and fashion. The subject may last from Semester 2 to Semester 3.
Work Integrated Education (WIE)
It is a compulsory training for ALL full-time BA students.
Job nature and activities must be structured & relevant
to fashion & textiles industry
Minimum duration of 120 hours
Students are highly recommended to complete WIE
before progressing to final year of study

Final Year Project (FYP)
It is composed of:
ITC3041D/ITC3042T Professional Language Skills and Project
Preparation (4 credits) - Year 3, semester 2
ITC4056T/ITC4055D Final Year Project by Thesis/Collection (5
credits) - Year 4 semesters 1 & 2
ITC3041D/ITC3042T is co-taught by ITC, ELC and CBS.
Students are required to complete ground works of FYP as
it’s the pre-requisite of ITC4056T/ITC4055D.
Students must propose a FYP topic and suggest supervisor by
Week 5 for approval
