The gospel event is a part of the Summer Concert Series being presented by the Center. Smith and Parchman entertained the audience with their renditions of classic hymns. The hot summer air was enriched with spirit-filled melodies as the singing gentlemen took requests from the patrons. For more information about July’s concert contact the center at 779-9000. Delta Center presents first summer music event George Parchman enlightened the crowd with his soulful voice Saturday night. Patrons at the Delta Heritage Center summer music event enjoyed good ole fashioned family time while picnicking at the concert. Audience members were thoroughly entertained as shown by the smiles on their faces. David Smith, also known as The Singing Fireman, battled the heat at Saturday’s gospel singing presented by The West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center. Some listeners chose a more shady area to escape the swelling temps as they enjoyed the entertainment presented by David Smith and George Parchman.
