Volunteers needed to take mailings to post office The post office has closed its bulk unit satellite location on Teutonia.
Therefore, the parishioner monthly letters, pledge letters, and end-of-
year statements, which get mailed at bulk rates, will now have to be
taken to the bulk mail unit at the downtown post office. We are
looking for some volunteers who would be willing to do this. If you are
interested, please contact Theresa in the parish office, 414-358-4600,
ext. 156, or [email protected]. Thank you!
Mother’s Day rose sale Roses will be available after all Masses next weekend, May 10-11, for
$2 each. The proceeds will be used by the Wisconsin Right to Life
Milwaukee Chapter for educational purposes and to support pregnancy
help centers. Remember Mom with a red rose, the symbol of life.
Saint Bernadette School Class of 1974 40-year reunion The 1974 graduates of St. Bernadette’s grade school are looking for
classmates and teachers to help celebrate their 40th reunion this June.
Anyone interested should contact Shawn (Skiba) Dauer at
414-731-0527 or Jean (Monchek) Hiller at 262-957-6861. You can
also join the group on Facebook at “St. Bernadette Class of 1974
40th year reunion.”
Sleeping Bag Ministry needs fabric The Sleeping Bag Minsitry is running out of fabric to
recycle into sleeping bag covers. We need large
pieces of corduroy, wool, denim, polyester, or other
heavy fabrics. If you see some at estate sales this
summer, please consider donating them to help us help
the homeless. Donations can be labeled “sleeping
bags” and placed in the Human Concerns box outside
the ushers’ room. If you have any questions about the
ministry or its needs, please call Dawn Truitt at
262-253-0380.

The disciples on the road to Emmaus walked and talked with Jesus all
day long, but it was not until they offered Him hospitality and He
blessed and broke the bread that they recognized Him. Simple acts of
loving kindness still reveal the presence of God in our midst.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul In this Sunday’s Gospel, as we hear the story of
the disciples on the road to Emmaus, we come to
know that our daily reaching out to our neighbor
is our daily walk with the risen Christ; we
recognize him in others. Your gift to the Society of
St. Vincent de Paul will show that you are indeed
walking with Jesus and recognizing him in the
poor and suffering.
Donate used jewelry Donate your used and vintage jewelry to
St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care. We
polish and resell it, helping elderly or disabled
clients receive needed care they can’t afford.
Contact Ross at 414-977-5040 or
[email protected], or drop off your
donation at 2801 East Morgan Avenue.
Donate desserts to fish fry A popular part of our fish fry is the delicious array of desserts. Please
consider donating a homemade or store-bought dessert for us to sell.
Items can be dropped off in the parish office on fish fry Friday during
the day or in the kitchen right up until the fish fry start time. Thanks!
