Limestone is naturally green. It is non toxic, not petrol based and non leaching. No chemicals are used in the production or processing of limestone.

Through a policy of yearly inspection of our partner queries, we insure the highest standards of environmentally ethically quarried stone are met and maintained.

Composite products have to be synthesised and processed. Already formed, natural limestone removes both from the equation, reducing CO2 emissions.

Product Performance Characteristics

Limestone is a natural stone that is made from sedimentary rocks. It is formed under the bottom of the sea and is pressurised,

which makes it durable, yet porous. With the right seal, limestone can be very durable tiles that can handle heavily trafficked areas.

WATER ABSORPTION

A measure of the porosity of a stone and can also be an indicator of a stone’s general durability. A stone that has a greater water absorption will also tend to absorb stains more readily. In general, the lowest water absorption is desired. ASTM C97.
