MANY OF HORROR

This video is definitely one of my favourite music videos based on post production techniques. The video is shot in a 'run down' setting, using high contrast of light and shadow throughout.

The music video is very artistic, and this is reinforced by the use of lighting (or lack of).

There are many close ups of the front man from start to finish, which is one of the points Andrew Goodwin identifies as being a characteristic of a music video.

The only long shots used are of the whole band, increasing the emphasis on the front man himself

The silhouettes and bright lighting creates a film like setting. The post production editing is fantastic!A lightning effect is used, possibly to represent the sudden change from ballad to rock ballad - the song gains energy and life!

The strobing effect on the front man's face is an especially inspiring effect. It represents an image of him falling a part, and fading into the music itself.

Towards the end of the song there are close ups of the other band members, and a final major close up of the front man.

Overall, I love this music video, and am thoroughly inspired by it!
