PROGRESS UPDATE PLAN FOR NEXT MONTH / WEEK (Including Possible Contingency Plans If Problems Anticipated)

September 2012(Detailed Monthly Summary)

We started with an induction which told us our yearly plan and what kind of tasks we are going to be set to complete coursework and prepare for the exam. We also looked at the basics of postmodernism and looked into what it was. We also started to construct research for ancillary 1. Then we started to produce our ancillary 1.

Next week I will complete my ancillary 1. I will then start to produce my research my research for ancillary 2. We will also look into the postmodernism theory into depth.

October 2012(Detailed Monthly Summary)

We carried on looking at the postmodernism theories and finished producing ancillary 1. We then started to construct our research for ancillary 2, then began constructing ancillary 2 ourselves. Towards the end of October we began to look at the genre theories of postmodernism and started research towards our main piece.

We will carry on researching towards our main production. We will do this by analysing other music videos. We will also look at audience and narrative theories.

November 2012(Detailed Monthly Summary)

In November we carried on constructed research to help us with our main production which is to be done at a later date. We would look at techniques and features used in other music videos and look at our particular genre of music and look at the conventions of that. For the exam we started to look at the theories of audience and narrative and looked at the key features for that.

Again we will carry on looking at our audience and narrative theory and plan a small area of the exam by looking into section A.

December 2012(Detailed Monthly Summary)

December consists of carrying on looking at the narrative and audience theory and then moving on to looking at media language for section A. also we carried on planning our main production of coursework by mind mapping ideas of what we will produce, this was then followed up with a storyboard of what we will be doing.

Next month I will plan how I will complete my music video market research and gather my results

Mon W/B 07/01/13(Detailed Weekly Summary)

I have got some of my market research survey complete but I have focused on completing the mind map from last term which has helped us bring our final ideas together.

I will next week complete the music video market research survey and then get all my results gathered together.


I have completed a music video market survey and gathered my results for it. I have now also got all my results into a report with good organisation and structure.

Next week I will finish my report and try and get as far as I can with my initial ideas work including finishing the report for that also.

As I have also finalised my ideas for my music video I will complete a report to specify what ideas I will use.

As a group we have complete the report to specify what aspects of the initial ideas we will be using to complete our music video.

As I have now complete the ideas of our music video, we can begin to write the script of how we will produce our music video.


We have started to plan our scripting of how we are to complete our music video and what stages and filming we will need to complete.

As the script has been completed we will now use that to help us finish our storyboard to give more detail of our music video production.


We will use our script to guide us on how we are going to complete our storyboard so we have specific guidelines to follow when we are filming our music video.

Now the storyboard is complete we will now begin to shoot as much of the music video as possible.


We filmed the introduction to the music video we will be completing using the storyboard to help. The filming will all be indoor so weather should not be a problem.

Our plan for next week is to format our footage on to the computers and set up our project for the music video using adobe premiere. Also we should film much more of our music video.


We have completed the project so it is now ready to edit our music video when the footage has been dragged in. we have filmed the majority of the main body of the music video.

Next week we plan to begin editing our music video but also complete all the footage we need for our music video.


We have gathered the remainder of the music video footage we needed and are now able to edit all of the video as one sequence.

We will continue to edit our music video to a high quality using different techniques.


We have continued to edit our music video this week and it is nearly complete.

We need to tidy up our music video then embed it on to YouTube for our first draft music video to be put on to our blogs.


We have finished our first draft and put our music video first draft on to our blogs.

Over the half term we will make our first draft for our evaluation and then edit our responses into different formats such as Prezi and power point. We will also complete our finally ancillary tasks.


I have completed my evaluation first draft and completed 2 of the questions. I have also completed my finally ancillary tasks.

Next week I will finish my full evaluation and also complete my final edit music video.


I have continued to develop my evaluation and I have finished my final product which is my music video.

I will complete my final evaluation next week.
