LAT is presently watching legislative developments for the upcoming session. We are actively

reviewing the IP28/Measure 97 issue regarding the C-Corporation Gross Tax proposal.

LAT is watching the candidate positions for State Senator, State Representative, County Treasurer,

City Councils and City Mayors positions.

There is much to keep our eyes on and we had a small meeting with Rep. Caddy McKeown to

discuss and share thoughts regarding IP28/Measure 97 on 8/4/16.

Natural Resources We are just getting started on re-building the Natural Resources committee. We are still partnering with

Douglas Timber Operators (DT”O) on their meetings each 3rd Friday of the month at the Red Lion @ 7am. In

addition we will be holding separate meetings every other month to talk about specific Natural Resource

issues in our community. All interested in the Natural Resources committee please contact the Natural

Resources Chair or Timm Slater.

Natural Resources focuses on issues in our community such as the Elliot State Forest; O&C Lands; BLM

proposed RMP plan; forest lands; fisheries rules & regulation; and our recreational resources such as

parks, dunes and hunting.

Educating the community and businesses on proposed laws, rules and regulations that could affect our

communities Natural Resources while helping promote business surrounding our areas bountiful resources.
