Page 8: B 3. God Preserves His Fallen Creatures

5. Scientific dating methods are very inaccurate.

Carbon dating

Seals in Antarctica dead for a few weeks 615 to 1,300 years old!

Page 9: B 3. God Preserves His Fallen Creatures

6. Evolution ignores creation’s mature world.

Aren’t the stars millions of light years away? God, who created a “mature world” (with full grown trees, for example) also made star light already “on the way”!

Page 22: B 3. God Preserves His Fallen Creatures

Gen 1:26 “Let us make man in our image, in the the image of God let us make him.” 1. Man was first created in the image of God (perfectly reflecting God’s holiness and wisdom).

Page 23: B 3. God Preserves His Fallen Creatures

The image of God…

…is like a holy mirror, perfectly reflecting God’s will and wisdom.

Page 24: B 3. God Preserves His Fallen Creatures

The Evil Angels

• many sinned when they rebelled against the Lord• they are forever rejected by God and doomed to

hell• they and their leader (the Devil [the slanderer] or

Satan [the accuser]) are cunning and powerful• they seek to destroy the works of God and want

to lead us into eternal damnation.

2. Man lost God’s image when Adam and Eve fell into sin

Page 27: B 3. God Preserves His Fallen Creatures

when man became a sinner!

Page 29: B 3. God Preserves His Fallen Creatures

3. The one who tempted man to sin was the devil.

Devil = liar, slanderer

Satan = enemy, adversary

temptation = D’s attempts to get

us to sin (doubt, disobey God)

Where the devil came from:

He was a good angel who fell into sin along with many other angels who are now called demons.

Page 32: B 3. God Preserves His Fallen Creatures

What’s the devil’s purpose:

To keep us away from Jesus and destroy with himself in hell, both our souls and bodies.

1st Article(Creation)

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. What does this mean?

I believe that God created me and all that exists, and that he gave me my body and soul, eyes, ears and all my members, my mind and all my abilities.And I believe that God still preserves me by richly and daily providing clothing and shoes, food and drink, property and home, spouse and children, land, cattle and all I own, and all I need to keep my body and life. God also preserves me by defending me against all danger, guarding and protecting me from all evil. All this God does only because he is my good and merciful Father in heaven, and not because I have earned or deserved it.For all this I ought to thank and praise, to serve and obey him.This is most certainly true.
