Saturday, June the 8th, was a great event, including both the Arizona MG ‘T’ Roadrun-ners, and the AZ. MG Club. We had a great time chatting in the parking lot, checking out some cars with hoods up, and just having a great time! As we went into the airport where we had re-served a room that would hold us all, only to find another group in the room! The manager took care of it, asking them to car-ry on their meeting in another area! After the staff cleaned up their drinks, etc., we were able to all be seated! Club members from both clubs were: Terri Bounty, her son and grandson, Vic-tor and Evelyne Rodrigues, Steve Strublic, Gra-ham & Susan McDonald, Sherwood & Jane Par-ker, Don & Ginger Pottenger, Mike & Barb Grogan, Randy Copelman, George Minchuck and friend, George & Delores Bean, Danny & Barbara Young, Warren Kosters, Linda Akley, Joel Haglund, Steve Tate, Tony Wende (who lives in Apache Junction) said, “It is a long way

to drive my TD, so I will fly!”, also at-tending were Ken and Ginny Martin who ar-ranged for this

event. I purposely didn’t put clubs with at-tendees, we are all interested in MG’s, no mat-ter what year they are! We assume everyone enjoyed their Breakfast, following which Tony Wende flew home safely, and we all went out and checked one another's MG ‘s again!

Number 1 & 2: A nice bunch of MG’s in the parking lot. It was good to see the Pottengers’s engine problem was finally figured out and they had a nice ride to the event!

Number 3: Tony Wende’s Grumman MG for the day.

Number 4 & 5: AZ MG Club & AZ MG T Roadrunner members enjoyed breakfast and good conversations.

1952 MG TDC Mark II

I received this car from my parents estate, Barbara and Orville Granquist. Orville bought the car on Sept. 17, 1973 from Charles Roush. It was restored by Dave’s Import Service to original condition inside and out September 6, 1990. Driven 205 miles. Kept in parents garage. Car returned to Dave’s Import by me on Nov. 9, 2017 to get the car back on the road. Service at Dave’s complete with mileage from restoration at 581. New tires all around. Although we love the car, a two-seater is just too small for our family.

Asking $18,500 Contact info: [email protected] or 480-595-8120, our home phone. Ask for Dan. Car is garaged in central Phoenix at my parents home. Interested buyers can contact us to make arrangements to see and drive the car.

Roadrunners, here is the registration form for GoF West 2019 that is being held in Pres-cott AZ this year. We hope a lot of you will sign up for the GoF this year as it is right in our backyard. This is a good way to get our cars out in public view.

Hello Members, I volunteered to coordinate the solicitation of auction items for this year’s GoF in Prescott, AZ August 12 – August 16! A lot of planning and coordination has gone into this GoF, the venue is great, and the outlook is that it should be a great one for all of us. We on the plan-ning committee hope that Arizona is well represented. I’m sure that I don’t need to remind you that the auction is one of the mandatory events for any GoF. This auction allows us to take care of any expenses that have not been covered by the income for the event, and, again, hopefully, gives us “seed money” for next year’s event. I can’t tell you how many times in the past few years that the Steering Committee members and Chairpersons of the GoFs were crossing their fingers hoping that the auction turned out well so the finances would balance in a positive direction. But it has worked out each year, thanks to your generous contributions—Thank You! Well, it’s time to ask for your contributions of auction items again. We could have used a few more items last year. I’m asking if you would consider contributing a bit more than you may have in the past. Go into your garage and find some of those MG items that have been gathering dust that you will probably never use and help us turn them into cash for the GoF. How about those great posters that have been rolled up for the past 20 years? And that extra set of Whitworth wrenches that you have been saving for when your others wear out? There are probably a lot of items that you have that others don’t but would like to have if only they could find one. However, we can’t use old greasy chassis parts. If you have good, clean, serviceable items, please consider donating them. Items don’t necessarily have to be MG related for the attendees to find value in them. If you do have some items to donate to this worthy cause, please let me know by e-mail ([email protected]) what the items are and bring them along to the GoF, or send them to Ken Martin 4846 E. Indianola Ave. Phoenix, AZ. 85018. (I am moving to a new house shortly, thus I can’t receive ship-ments.) I will still be tracking each item(s) by the registrant’s name. Even if you can’t attend, we sure could use your items. Let’s make this event one that provides a lot of fun for the attendees and that keeps our fi-nances in the black. Hope to see you there. Thank you, Dave Boyer Auction Coordinator GoF West 2018

It is farewell to Roadrunners Victor and Evelyne Rodrigues until next spring but the Maters and the Parkers could not let them go without including them in their cherished tradition of eating at the Chuck Box at ASU and then coming back to one of their homes for cake to celebrate a birth-day. This celebration was for Bonnie's birth-day. Grilled hamburgers, FRIED poppers, mush-rooms, onion rings, and zucchini certainly intro-duced them to a real "dive" with all its grease and goodness! Swiss fondue it is NOT but from eve-rything they tell us, they are leaving Arizona with the very best memories and looking forward to re-uniting with all of us again next year. Sherwood Parker

Take in your old shoes and they will be done in a week. Smart money says take in a drum and they will arc the brakes to your drum. I have found very reasonable pricing and service for powder coating at: Affordable Powder Coating. They did a mesh grille for the TC for $40.
