The War in Vietnam divided Americans more deeply than any conflict since the Civil War

American Soldiers were dying in a war that had little to do with American interests.

are those who advocate an aggressive foreign policy based on strong military power.

SDS- The Students for a Democratic Society was founded in 1960 at the University of Michigan. It is formed to campaign against racism and poverty and it soon began campaigning to end the war in Vietnam.
