Designing a solar oven improve!

What part of your solar oven worked well?

Our time score worked the best because it took a long time to cool down.

What part of your solar oven did not work well?

We did not have insulators that worked well.

And it was heat score.

Our total score on design #1 is -4

Designing a solar oven #2

Our materials is felt units is 1 how are we going to use it is to cut it in half.

Foam units is 2 and how are we going to use it is to shred.

Create for design #2

Our heat score is our solar oven maximum temperature subtracted from the control oven: 35-41=6

Our time score is the number of minutes. It took to cool down witch was 3 minutes.

Our total impact score was 9 Points.

Our new total score for the solar oven is 12.

Reflection

Our improved design did not work well because design 1 the total score was -4 and design 2 was -12. The materials we changed were felt to fabric on the side of the box and shredded cloth to shredded foam. The materials were good choice but it was not used correctly. We should have kept the felt because it is a good insulator and helped our temperature increase.

If we could improve again we would make it much better and see the total score and have some materials that are good insulators that well help much the solar oven.
