In support of the National Transformation Program 2020 and Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) International West Asia & Africa Area and the American Welding Society (AWS) Saudi Arabia Section are proud to organize the first Materials Performance and Welding Technologies Conference and Exhibition in Saudi Arabia. It gives me great pleasure to be the Chairman of this conference organized by two distinguished professional organizations.

As part of not-for-profit organizations that develop quality standards and technical professional accreditation, we aim to increase awareness on volunteer opportunities and establish positive values and independent personalities for citizens.

In this conference, the two organizations are joining forces to provide industry access to the latest technologies related to corrosion control and welding, two critical engineering disciplines with resounding impact on all kind of industries and thus the national GDP. Impacted industry sectors include Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, Infrastructure, Power, Construction and Fabrication. These disciplines strongly influence each other and recognizing the interdependence has been one of our motivations for organizing this joint event.

Professionals have been at the forefront of combating corrosion and welding challenges in all industries. Through this conference, we aspire to provide a platform for knowledge sharing through targeted papers and workshops on lessons learned, best practices, case studies, introduction to new technologies, standards and specifications and talent/competence development through specialized training and certification.

An exhibition section running in parallel with the technical sessions and workshops will provide opportunities for local and international companies to showcase their latest technologies and for networking.

On behalf of NACE and AWS, we encourage professionals engaged in subject disciplines to play an active role by presenting technical papers of the highest quality focusing on current technical and economic challenges covering topics that will enable the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and Transformation Program 2020. We also encourage organizations to generously support the event through sponsorship and nomination of delegates to ensure the success of this event, thus paving the way forward for similar events in the future.

Cancellation Policy:A Sponsor may cancel their participation in the Conference by giving Conference Organizers notice in writing. If Organizers receives notice of

cancellation by May 31, 2017, there will be only 20% of the sponsorship fee as cancellation charges. If notice of cancellation is received after May

31, 2017, the Sponsor/Exhibitor shall pay a cancellation charge of 50% of the total fee. If notice of cancellation is received after July 31, 2017, the

entire sponsorship fee is due as cancellation charge. In the event of cancellation, Conference organizers has the full right to use the space for its

own convenience. Both NACE and AWS assume no responsibility for having included the name or description of the cancelled exhibitor in

programs, news releases, publicity or other material.
