Axicom – Australia’s leading provider of independently owned wireless infrastructure has a cohesive software environment that integrates data from traditional and cloud systems, and makes it available through reporting, analytics, and data visualization. This boosts efficiency by allowing business users to easily combine asset, expense, and revenue data from on-premises and cloud-based business applications for delivery through cross-platform portals, dashboards, and reports.

Chrome River – Users of this company’s cloud-based expense reporting and supplier invoice processing software are empowered with in-depth analytical capabilities that generate user-guided reports, including complex reports containing highly sophisticated charts and graphs. These cloud BI and analytics capabilities improve visibility into spending patterns by office, department, practice group, user, client, and other variables. Clients now have greater control over their expenses than ever before.

City of Brampton – The first Canadian city to move its analytics and data management activities to the cloud, Brampton offers a secure, flexible, and highly accessible environment powered by Amazon Web Services. The new environment delivers analytics functionality to hundreds of employees in many operating divisions throughout the city, such as Enforcement and By Law Services, Transit, Recreation, and Fire. The deployment consists of a family of cloud-based portals that keeps tabs on the day-to-day needs of the community and measures progress and visualizes areas that need improvements across divisions.

The City of Brampton’s Enforcement and By Law Services Portal uses location intelligence to visualize before-and-after comparisons. This allows supervisors to efficiently deploy officers where they are needed, moment to moment.

Colorado State University (CSU) – A high level of accountability and productivity is being driven by consistent analytics across this public land-grant university located in Fort Collins, Colorado. With Information Builders Cloud, the university is focusing its resources on adding value to its business operations. Cloud-based analytics are improving student outcomes, boosting operational efficiencies, and differentiating CSU from other competing institutions.

Dealertrack – WebFOCUS dashboards, parameterized reports, and custom report development tools were embedded within the company’s cloud-based dealer management system, allowing customers to visualize business data and create custom reports for parts inventory, customers, service, vehicle histories, and accounting – all in the cloud. The company determined that the WebFOCUS architecture is ideal for SaaS and cloud deployments, since it is based on a highly scalable reporting server that is accessible from any web browser, with no special software required at the dealerships. Clients now have better reporting capabilities, improving the way they manage their retail businesses, from selling vehicles to handling inventory to producing financial statements.

Disc Brakes Australia – WebFOCUS in the cloud is transforming sales processes for this producer of aftermarket and original equipment disc pads and brake rotors. It recently replaced its manual, old-fashioned order entry processes with a cloud-based e-commerce portal called DBA Connect, which enables customers to place orders any time during their workday or after hours. This is important for overseas clients, who operate in different time zones than DBA’s call center. Users can also report on sales activity, view account balances, track previous orders, and more. The application also increases efficiency, boosts order-handling capacity, and reduces related costs.

IQVIA – A cloud-based BI environment known as MiPortal simplifies access to business analytics, forecasting capabilities, and real-time reports for this consulting company that specializes in sales and marketing effectiveness and performance management. Life sciences companies use MiPortal to formulate salesforce strategies, identify commercial risks and opportunities, and increase the quality and velocity of sales and marketing decision-making.

Paradies Lagardère – An enterprise BI platform running in the cloud, complete with dashboards, scorecards, and geographical representations of data, streamlines business operations for this airport concessionaire with 550 stores across the U.S. and Canada. The company can monitor progress and plan for the future, using timely insight into corporate performance. Managers and other non-technical users can create more accurate forecasts, and maximize the effectiveness of promotional and merchandising strategies.

Paycor – This leading provider of cloud HR and payroll services embedded InfoApps™ directly into its cloud-based product suite. This gives clients a more comprehensive view of their HR operations by allowing them to tap into data in HR, payroll, and timekeeping systems for insight into total compensation, labor distribution, general ledger issues, and employee overtime. This new functionality has increased customer acquisition and retention, and differentiated Paycor in its market.

Plex Systems – When creating reports using SQL programming proved to be too cumbersome for customers, the company embedded WebFOCUS InfoAssist into its cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) application for manufacturing. InfoAssist allows users to drag-and-drop data elements into custom, interactive reports, charts, graphs, and dashboards. Customers now have a faster, better way to analyze and visualize their cloud ERP data.

Sunset Transportation – This provider of logistics management and brokerage services launched a cloud-based analytics portal with WebFOCUS. The portal was created to empower clients with self-service analytics capabilities. The new environment, powered by Amazon Web Services, reduces infrastructure costs for Sunset while enabling clients to negotiate cost-effective contracts, monitor shipments, and select the best carriers for each logistics engagement.

Sunset Transportation’s Shipment Metrics dashboard allows users to toggle between spend and volume. Origin and destination density maps provide insight into top lanes.

Wings Travel Management – Cloud-based analytics empower this company’s consultants and clients to interact with and visualize travel data. Consultants can make travel arrangements for their clients, while clients can analyze and improve their own travel programs. User-friendly graphs, charts, and drill-downs simplify complex analyses, such as highlighting traveler behavior that could affect cost and safety, or verifying compliance with corporate travel policies.
