Diversity Dances

I in 5 members of the general population have some sort of disability

1 in 800 children born have Downs Syndrome

1 in 110 children are born with autism

20% of that population is under 21 years old

70% of people with disabilities are unemployed

The majority of this population is not included in the social network of the typical population

Diversity Dances

Current programs only address ADA requirements and not inclusion

Awareness leads to Familiarity which leads to Acceptance which leads to Inclusion of all people of difference

The principle of Inclusion is a much larger picture than just placement in a situation. It is being part of what everyone else is, and being welcomed and embraced as a member who belongs.

Inclusion is essential in a world that is smaller due to technology
