These curriculums are designed to prepare in-dividuals to apply tech-nical knowledge and skills to the fields of architecture, construc-tion, construction man-agement, and other as-sociated professions.

Course work includes instruction in sustain-able building and de-sign, print reading, building codes, estimat-ing, construction mate-rials and methods, and other topics related to design and construction occupations.

Graduates of this pathway should qualify for entry-level jobs in archi-tectural, engi-neering, con-struction and trades profes-sions as well

as positions in industry and government.

Carpentry: A program that prepares individuals to apply tech-nical knowledge and skills to lay out, cut, fabricate, erect, install, and repair wooden structures and fix-tures, using hand and power tools. Includes instruc-tion in technical mathematics, framing, construction materials and selection, job estimating, print reading, foundations and roughing-in, finish carpentry tech-niques, and applicable codes and standards.
