TheCertificateinFinancialPlanningwascreatedtosatisfytheFSAregulatoryqualificationrequirementsforthoseintendingtoworkasfinancialadvisers.

InJune2010,theFSA’sRetailDistributionReview(RDR)increasedtheminimumlevelofthebenchmarkqualificationtobeheldbyadvisers,fromtheLevel3CertificatetoaQCF(QualificationsandCreditFramework)approvedLevel4qualification.ThedeadlineforadviserstoattainaLevel4qualificationistheendof2012.
