„Climate change is a reality we must face. All over the world,

young entrepreneurs are rising to this challenge and developing

new ideas on the best ways to combine energy efficiency, storage

technologies and renewable energies. The key to our future lies in

their creativity and the willingness to take new paths. This is why

I support the Start Up Energy Transition Award. I would like to

thank the German Energy Agency, which launched this important

competition. I am pleased that the competition attracted entries

from 66 countries in its very first year and hope the German Ener-

gy Agency will have at least as many entries in 2018. I encourage

all those interested to take part and will keep my fingers crossed

for them that they do well!“

Startups competed in six categories. 18 finalists were chosen

to pitch at the Tech Festival. Six winners claimed the 70,000€

in prize money at our Award Ceremony with the Berlin Energy

Transition Dialogue, with 700 high-level attendees present.

Host a Corporate Work-shop at the Tech FestivalCorporate Workshops are the backbone of the Tech Festival. These breakout sessions take place to make real startup-corporate col-laborations happen, with a duration of up to 3 hours. You provide a specific challenge or use a case from your industry and we select the brightest startup teams from across the globe to present spe-cific solutions for your problem. Together, your solution will serve as a potential kick-start for future collaboration in the Corporate Challenge Workshop.

Jury MembershipBe a part of an international jury to evaluate startup applications. The evaluation process gives jury members the opportunity to get an overview about the state of innovation within the global energy transition. As a jury member, you have the chance to meet high-level energy experts and business innovators.

Host an Accelerator ShowcaseTired of visiting every single demo day in energy, cleantech, mobility, and future production? Come to us – we have them all: Successful accelerators, such as Climate KIC, Green Garage, A2, E.On, Agile, InnoEnergy, and many more will bring their most promising startups to the Tech Festival.

Participate and showcase your own startups to a wider audience. Use our fully equipped booth and match with investors and other corporates.

pin board, a table, 2 chairs, and a large screen (screen needs to be shared with startups)
