Logistics and Innovation - Mandate
• Help to increase automation in the adjacent processes such as
loading and transport of luggage to and from aircraft.
• The entire logistics chain should, as far as possible, be automated
or prepared for this.
Need to introduce more efficient concepts, by automating
baggage handling beyond the baggage handling system

• Many existing solutions provide semi-automated tools for parts of
departure and arrival processes
• Few solutions (if any) cover automatization of the entire process
• Existing robots for baggage handling are in general not sufficiently
effective and only in limited use
