Suspended displays and floating fixtures are within reach with Avian lightweight board. If you’re short on space, or really want to grab someone’s attention – hang it! Lightweight board allows you to bring depth to your design with thick lines, suspend structures from a ceiling or cantilever surfaces from a wall. The honeycomb core provides excellent stability without frames allowing for new dimensions in design.

Avian lightweight board provides more board for your large projects.

Standard master sheets measure 110" x 81.5"and full master sheets measure 18’ x 14’, providing more opportunity to design in large scale without the need for seams. Standard particleboard or MDF would be far too heavy to accommodate such large scale, but Avian lightweight board works in big…big…big designs.


Architectually Exquisite

Lightweight construction offers benefits not possible with traditional wood products. The top and bottom decking, along with the honeycomb core, are easily cut into crazy shapes, but there is so much more. Utilize the core to efficiently hide cables and wiring. Run lights, AC power, sound and more through conduits in the center core. Utilize Avian products to bring exciting function to designs, produce clean lines and make the fixture come alive. With Avian lightweight board, cable management is “managed” right inside the board.

Ecologically Superior

Avian products come in many colors, but at their core, every one is green. Avian lightweight board uses 58% less timber with 8mm decking and 80% less timber with 4mm decking than standard particleboard and the wood we do use is harvested from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) managed forests.

The honeycomb center is made of recycled paper; utilizing PUR water-based glue for adhesion. Understanding the importance of air quality, Avian board exceeded the CARB 2 air quality rating well before the required date (Particle board .09 formaldehyde, MDF .11 formaldehyde) - making Avian lightweight board the right choice ecologically.
