Russian national carrier’s Board of Directors confirmed
the plans to establish a fully ow ned low cost
subsidiary. According to plans, the carrier w ill start its
activity in 2014.

SSJ100 MANUFACTURER
CONFIRMED DEBTNEGOTIATIONS
Russian media reported that the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft
Company (SCAC) is on edge of bankruptcy. According
to Lenta.ru, w hich quotes „Kommersant“, the SSJ100
manufacturer w ill probably be forced to declare credit
event should it fail to f ind additional f inancing sources.
Meanw hile, SCAC ensures that the current f inancial
state of the company allow s it to fulf ill all its
commitments.

British Airways takes delivery of its firstof 12 Airbus A380s
British Airw ays (BA) has become the tenth operator to receive an Airbus A380 after
taking delivery of the f irst of 12 aircraft on order. BA is the f irst UK operator of the
A380 and w ill start to deploy its new flagship aircraft on routes from London Heathrow
to Los Angeles and Hong Kong.

A United Airlines Boeing 737-800 aircraft retrofitted w ith the new Split Scimitar Winglet
took its maiden test f light Tuesday in Everett, Wash. This advanced w inglet improves
on the existing blended w inglets United currently has on its next generation 737 f leet.

Follow ing its shareholders’ approval, easyJet has f irmed up the purchase of 135
Airbus A320 family aircraft (100 A320neos and 35 A320ceos). The initial agreement
w as announced earlier in June.

Bombardier CSeries Aircraft First Flightto Take Place in the Coming Weeks
Bombardier Aerospace confirmed today that the integration of the CSeries aircraft’s
auxiliary pow er unit and Pratt & Whitney PurePow er Geared Turbofan™ PW1500G
engines on the f irst f light test vehicle (FTV1) is running smoothly, allow ing for testing
of the aircraft’s key systems. It also confirmed that the latest softw are upgrades on
the aircraft continue to be successfully completed. The CSeries aircraft’s overall
integration is progressing w ell; how ever, the highly technical last steps are taking more
time than initially anticipated to validate the overall systems and ongoing softw are
integration. First f light is expected to occur in the coming w eeks.

India plans to develop its own regionalaircraft
Last w eek the Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh held a meeting of the the High
Level Committee on Manufacturing (HLCM) in order to discuss strategic goals of
several industries, including civilian aircraft manufacturing, electric and hybrid vehicles
as w ell as advanced materials and composites. During the meeting, the PM approved
the initiative to develop a new civil Aircraft w ith 70-100 seat capacity.

Bombardier named Ethiopian Airlinesas a new Authorized Service Facility inAfrica
Bombardier Aerospace added further bench strength to its fast grow ing support
netw ork in Africa today by naming one of the continent’s leading carriers, Ethiopian
Airlines of Addis Ababa, as an Authorized Service Facility (ASF) for commercial
aircraft. Bombardier has signed a Letter of Intent to authorize the airline to perform line
and heavy maintenance on Q400 and Q400 NextGen turboprop aircraft. The agreement
is expected to take effect by late August.

UTair Aviation and Transaero Airlines have signed an agreement on strategic
cooperation betw een the companies. The agreement aims at the development of both
domestic and international passenger and cargo transport markets and focuses on
leveraging the capacities of the route netw orks of both airlines operating from
Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow .

Atlantic Air Industries joins the ATRmaintenance network
ATR, the European manufacturer of turboprop aircraft, and Atlantic Air Industries
(AAI), a French company specializing in aircraft maintenance, have signed a
collaboration agreement making AAI a new member of ATR’s netw ork of partner
maintenance centers. Adding AAI to ATR’s MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul)
netw ork attests to the compliance of its maintenance station at Toulouse-Francazal
airport, specializing in the heavy maintenance of ATR airframes, in line w ith the aircraft
manufacturer’s quality standards. Presently, about 60 airlines operate some 320 ATR
aircraft in Europe.

KLM Cityhopper Signs With KLM UKEngineering For Fokker 70 HeavyMaintenance
AFI KLM E&M and KLM Cityhopper have signed a maintenance agreement covering the
regional carrier's Fokker 70 f leet. In addition to heavy maintenance checks, the contract
also includes modif ication w ork on the same aircraft type. The w ork w ill be carried out
by KLM UK Engineering, a KLM subsidiary w ithin AFI KLM E&M's global MRO netw ork
specialized in regional and narrow body aircraft maintenance.
