Rotarians, as business leaders, share skills and expertisethrough their vocations, and they inspire others in the processCommunity Community Service is the opportunity Rotary clubs have to implement club projectsand activities that improve life in the local community.

    International International Service encompasses efforts to expand Rotarys humanitarian reacharound the world and to promote world understanding and peace.     B) What is basis for the award?This citation program provides a way for Rotary clubs to personally recognize one club member for his orher outstanding efforts in the five Avenues of Service. A club member must have demonstrated supportof the Object of Rotary through active participation in each of the five Avenues of Service: Club,Vocational, Community, International, and New Generations.

    C) Who is eligible?

    The nominee must have consistently demonstrated support of the Object ofRotary through participation in service activities in each of the five Avenues ofService: Club, Vocational, Community, International, and New Generations. Anindividual may only receive this award once. The nominee must be an activeRotarian in good standing. Rotarians who are ineligible:

    current club presidentscurrent, incoming, and immediate past district governorscurrent, incoming, and past RI directorsOnly one nominee is eligible per club per Rotary year

    D) How is a Rotarian selected?The method of selection is to be determined by the club president. Club presidents may wish toappoint a special committee to select a nominee, or may ask their board of directors to carry out this

    responsibility. Club nominations are to be submitted by the club president to Rotary International,with an information copy to the district governor
