Avengers Assemble (2012) For the film ‘Avengers Assemble’ the use of writing straight away when the first sequence appears for the director’s name, genre is slyly introduced as being fitted within the action field. This is apparent due to the style of font being used and the colour. The use of the bold, squared writing sets the tone and makes the audience aware that the following film is more than likely going to be targeted within the action genre. Due to the colour silver being used, it is placid and cold, creating a sense of action and fighting. With the use of the bright colours throughout the title sequence it sets a vibrant tone and captures the audience’s attention. With the backing music being tension building an loud, it helps to tie in with the genre being action and adventure, the use of drums to build tension helps to capture the audience’s attention and make the intrigued. With the image changing every time there is a sudden change in music or instrument is a way to keep the audience entertained and shows that it is an action film as it is always on the move and busy. Throughout the title sequence each superhero’s costume or mask is reveal partly, this highlights which superhero will be involved

The use of close up’s on the costumes shows detail and precision of the characters involved and highlights the significance of each individuals role.
The use of the dark colours involved establishes genre as it shows a sense of action and mystery within the characters. It slightly highlights the
darker side of the film. The use of the costumes being shown introduces the characters in a way that will create an enigma, due to the indiduals not fully being revealed. This altogether will make the audience want to continue watching it to find out who they are and what there role within the film with entail of. Due to the dark images being used it creates a mood of suspicion or mystery, this ties in well with the pesona of an action film. This is achieved through the colours being used and the lighting and shots.
The introduction of the characters is done through iconography, it is showing you particular icons that they are associated with enabling the audience to get a brief idea as to what the character each actor/actress is playing. Furthermore to this it sets a tense mood due to the kind of music being played in the background of the short film, also due to the quick camera movements from one image to another.
