Vinification Process: The Aveleda Reserva da Família Alvarinho is theresult of the effort and dedication that Aveleda deposited, over the lastfew years, in the qualitative development of Alvarinho, acclaimed bymany as the 'Queen' of Portuguese white varieties.The grapes, carefully harvested by hand to boxes of 18Kg, undergo a 24hour period in a cold chamber. Later, the grapes are pressed slowly at lowpressure, only the nectar of "drop“ is harnessed. Alcoholic fermentationtakes place partly in stainless steel vats and barrels of 500L, followed by aperiod on fine lees with frequent "bâtonnage" until early March, duringthat time the lot, stabilization and bottling of wine begins.
Tasting Notes: With bright and clear color, this wine has a great intensityand aromatic complexity and perfectly matches varietal, fresh and fruityaromas with exotic aromas of wood. In the mouth it offers freshness andan excellent texture, finishing long and intense.
Pairing: This wine accompanies perfectly traditional fish dishes. Cod andoctopus are ideal for Reserva da Familia Alvarinho and also spicy dishes,such as Thai cuisine.
