The world premiere of Avatar was held on

18th December 2009 and in the Polish

cinemas it was held on 25th December 2009. The film was

made in a 3D technique. It is worth adding that Avatar

was the box office hit. It has brought the

biggest income in the history of cinema.

The action takes place in the distant future. Scientists create creatures which

look like humans - so called Avatars. These creatures have got human qualities and they resemble Aliens. They are over three meters tall, their skin is blue and

they’ve got tail. Their character is similiar to humans’, but they also have got the qualities of the nativies who live in the

jungle.

To change into Avatar, one had to get into a special capsule.

After getting into it, a man fell into a deep sleep and is changed into this creature. The moment he fell asleep, he wakes up

as Avatar in the world of dream which was called Pandora.

In the forests of Pandora there are a lot of dangerous creatures and only the natives, who were also Avatars,

could live together with them.

However, these Avatars aren’t created by scientists so they don’t have an instinct of normal person. They are brought up in the jungle

and there they learn how to survive and defend against all the dangerous creatures.

The main character of the film is Jake Sully– a disabled ex-soldier, a twin brother of the scientist

who died in tragic circimstances.

He was promised to be a healthy again if he tooks part in this project.

At first, he is doing quite well, reports all the events, records the set of vlogs, but…

After some time he gets used to living in Pandora and he makes friends with Natyrui and then he falls

in love with her.

That’s why, he eventually chose the world of Na’vi to live in rather than his own, and saves it and the Na’vi

people from the extermination.

When I saw this film for the first time I was delighted. It was the best film I had ever seen.

I think the film is worth seeing because it doesn’t only tell about a fictional world that

doesn’t exist, but it also shows the character of people.

In my opinion the film deserved to win an Oscar .
